The dominant post defender has gained momentum in her recruitment gaining two college offers in the last couple of weeks and gaining more interest. A tremendous addition to a talented Catalina Foothills roster who will look to make a run at a state championship. One of the top shot blockers in Arizona.

Elam has recently received a division 3 offer and has gained interest from numerous in state colleges. An extremely high academic student who impacts the game at a high level on the court. A high percentage shooter from beyond the arc who can effectively score in the paint as well with some great footwork and a skilled handle. An effective rebounder and disciplined shot blocker. Expect more to come with her recruitment.

Layla has been one of the more impressive F/W this off season. She has shown the skill and toughness to be able to play almost every position on the floor and defend those positions as well. Responds very well to and plays through adversity. Doesn't matter the situation you can guarantee Layla will be playing to her full potential every possession. A highly impactful player on the boards. Plays very well in the pick and roll. Very strong defensively.

Verdugo returns for her final season for the Caballeros. Drives the lane with confidence and knows how to draw the foul. Verdugo was one of the state's leaders in free throws attempted and free throws made last season. A very dynamic player who can step out on the perimeter or battle in the paint with the best of them. Great competitor who impacts winning. Verdugo has started receiving interest from in state colleges. I expect this to be the case throughout the season.
