These players have shown high glimpses of their offensive mindsets and how they will bring points to the board from so many angles. These players are highly competitive with a great feel for the game, they effortlessly put up numbers each time they step onto the court.
Mallory Hoitink | Purple Aces | 5’10 G | 2023
Hoitink can handle the ball well with either hand and she can finish effortlessly on either side. She has long strides that allow her to cover ground quickly, ultimately leading to more opportunities to score or distribute. Hoitink can handle the ball well and seems very comfortable running the offense and setting the tempo. She has sneaky athleticism and quickness that allows her to blow by defenders and finish above the rim. She’s fantastic in transition because she can get out in front of the defense and make accurate lead passes or a crafty finish move. She is a great facilitator and can lead a team with no problems as mentioned. Her defense continues to improve as she learns how to alter passes and make the defense work, Hoitink has an extremely high upside for the next level.
Laila Alramahi | Bridgewater Elite | 5’7 G | 2023
Alramahi is a great shooter both off the dribble and on the catch; she is solid from the midrange and three point line. Her shooting form is very mechanically sound. She keeps the ball high off the catch so that she’s ready to shoot at all times. This is such an important attribute for combination guards because it reduces release time and adds versatility. She’s very smooth off the bounce, and she’s patient with the ball. The offense runs the best when she is on the floor. A clear leader both vocally and with her stat sheet, Alramahi is a force on the court with the Bridgewater squad. She is crafty when attacking the rim and doesn’t shy away from contact. Her feel for the game is elite for her age. She doesn’t rush her moves, rather she lets the defender make a move and she reacts. She is incredibly effective when attacking the basket and can take over games offensively.
Tahlia Moe Tahlia Moe 5'10" | CG Stevens Point (SPASH) | 2023 WI | Wisconsin Flight Elite | 5’9 CG | 2023
Moe is a versatile guard who can add depth to any team with her ability to impact on all three levels. She has great ball skills. She’s fantastic in the pick and roll- she can attack, pull up for a jumper, or dish to the screening big man with ease. She has patience with the ball and plays the game at her tempo, never letting opponents make her move to quick. Her pace and flow freeze the defense, and it’s really beautiful to watch because it shows great skill and maturity. She is extremely athletic and will see a lot of minutes for both her grassroots and high school team as her motor is super high.
Julia Kennedy | Bridgewater Elite | 5’3 PG | 2023
Kennedy is the energizer for her team. She can get the crowd and her teammates hyped up with just one highlight reel like play. She’s a springy athlete that is fantastic in the open court. When she’s on the fast break, it’s most likely going to end in a showtime play. Kennedy has great vision in the open court as well; she’s great at making long outlet passes. She is explosive and could take over a game offensively. On defense she is scrappy and causes many turnovers per game due to her quick footwork and high energy.
Trista Fayta | Purple Aces | 5’5 G | 2024
Fayta is a fantastic scorer and is able to rack up points at all three levels; she can drive, pull up, and shoot from three point territory. She has very advanced athleticism which allows her to drive the basket, adjust mid-air and finish through contact. She also has a great hop-step-gather combo- she covers so much ground by jumping-stopping and continuing to move. Fayta is great in the midrange both off the catch and off the dribble. Her stepback jumper is very elite for her age, and it allows her to create so much space to get her shot off. She has a great passing ability already and her basketball IQ shows through her ability to find the open man and thread the needle.
Kyla Dunaway | Let It Rain | 6’3 F | 2023
Dunway is a great talent on the defensive end. She brings hustle, competitiveness and power to the paint and has the ability to be the best shot blocker in her class. She continues to add to her offensive game as well. Her jump shot is consistent and her offensive rebounds are quite possibly the most impactful part of her game. The ball leaves her hands high above her head, making it hard for the defender to contest fully. Her pull up jump shot is improving and becoming more consistent as well. Her feet are incredibly quick for a prospect her size and she can stop on a dime- I think this is why she has become successful mid range. With her length and size she has potential to be a top tier defender, and has shown flashes of how she could take over a game offensively. She hasn’t seen as much playing time for Kimberly High School as she will going into this season- so stats do not necessarily show how much upside she has for scoring- but trust the hype, Dunaway is a player to keep a very close eye on.
