Team Previews- Ottoville

Heading up to Northwest Ohio today, I will take a look at a very good program in Ottoville, a team looking to put together a big run to Dayton this season. They are a small school powerhouse who is no stranger to success.

Players to Watch

The main key to Ottoville's success will be the play of this returning first-team all-Ohioan as she is one of the most prolific players in Northwest Ohio. Brooklyn This senior can score the basketball in all ways, she also has great handles and solid leadership for this team. Improved on her shot distance, extending her range. Also has gotten a lot stronger and can finish through contact.

Kendall is the main post player for this squad and can be a double-double player in the making. She is a great athlete and excelled in volleyball also. Great vertical player, strong and a physical presence in the paint. Can block and alter shots and plays good defense around the rim. Good finisher. Working on her perimeter game to step out a bit more and continues to get in the weight room.

Kate is one of the teams quickest player and plays the guard position well for them. Very good handles and is an excellent perimeter defender. Contributed double figures last year, adding in her 5 assists per game with her 7 points. Working on her consistency on her outside shooting and has spent a lot of time in the gym preparing for a big junior season to help this team.

This young lady plays the game with a lot of energy and has a high motor. She will play in the post but will also play out on the perimeter. She does the little things for the team including rebounding and a great effort. Has polished her offensive game with outside shooting, handles and has hit the weight room.

Sleeper to Watch

Played both varsity last season, Karlee has come into her own as an exceptional athlete. Worked hard to polish up her skill set, could fill a role for this team who wants to play more uptempo and apply more pressure. Long with good instincts and watch out for her defense. Also has put in time with her offense to contribute scoring for Ottoville.
