4 Thoughts:
Aurora is the odds-on favorite to win the American side of the Suburban League. In addition to returning one of the best players in conference history – Shayanne Sellers, the Greenmen have sharpshooting stretch forward Ava Ryncarz back in the mix, as well as Dylynn Lasky, Mika Dalton and Eliza Wycoff – forming a deep and loaded squad for head coach Erika Greenberg.
Sellers isn’t the only D1 commit in her branch of the Suburban League. Adison Novosel is back for her final season at Revere. The long, high-scoring guard for the Minuteman is joined by Jeanne Hujer, Audrey Livesay, Ava Schiesswohl, Emma Drushell and Mallory Tompkins – returning nearly all of their production from a season ago.
Medina Highland should be very good again. Led by highly-skilled combo-guard Kendall McCormick – the Hornets have everyone back. Alexis Furyes, Tess Myers, Madison Miller, Lindsey Frederick, Alayna Tessena and Brooke Stuart make their extremely experienced squad a legitimate threat to Aurora at the top of the league.
Barberton’s senior guard Hailey Haywood, Copley’s ultra-athletic 2023 forward Ashley Kerekes Ashley Kerekes 5'10" | PF Copley | 2023 State OH , Roosevelt’s skilled floor-leader Ari Crockett and Tallmadge underclassman Maya Dexter are all back to lead the teams – joining the mix of special players in a conference that is improving each year.
