Some times we have to recognize that whatever schools are recruiting us, most likely that is the level that we belong in. Some will get D1 interest, but never receive an offer from that school, but the D2, NAIA and D3 schools have already offered you and you ignore them. My motto, “You are who is recruiting you”.
2021, 5’6, SG, Fairmont Prep HS, Kayla Ishibashi Kayla Ishibashi 5'6" | PG Fairmont Prep | 2021 State CA – Kayla is a player in our book, she is illusive and one of the most fascinating player in the class of 2021, she is the total package for any school who chooses her. She is a scoring machine and get buckets in a hurry, she is quick on the floor and uses her athleticism to get to spots to score for her team. She is a good shooter and can score from the midrange and get to the rim and finish thru contact at times. Her strong suite is her ability to knock down the long ball and can knock down 3 to 4 if you allow her to get a good look.
2021, 5’9, SF, Chaminade Prep HS, Malinda Vheru Malinda Vheru 5'9" | SG Chaminade Prep | 2021 State CA – Vheru is a tough, physical wing. She can put the ball on the floor and bump defenders off on her way to the rim. A strong finisher at the basket. She isn’t afraid of contact and has a knack for diving after lose balls and fighting for rebounds. Can shoot over smaller defenders. Has three-point range. She’s a physical defender who can lock up both on and off ball.
2021, 5’11, SF, Villa Park HS, Sophia Santangelo Sophia Santangelo 5'11" | SF Villa Park HS | 2021 State CA – Sophia is an unorthodox shooter, but she is very efficient on the floor and if you get her the ball, she can make can get hot and make 3-4 in a row. She can catch and shoot it from all three levels and if you try and run her off the ball, she will find a way to score no matter what. She needs to improve her defensive game, but she is definitely a shot maker.
2021, 5’8, SG, Bonita Vista HS, Issa Rector Issa Rector 5'8" | SG Bonita Vista High | 2021 State CA – is a solid shooting guard who can shoot with consistency, run the floor and finishes in transition. Rector has improved in the areas of rebounding and ball handling, but continued improvement is needed. Rector uses her size to defend and creates a problem for the offensive player due to her length. Her strength is shooting the three ball with some consistency as well as the mid-range jump shot. Rector runs the floor well and has a good feel for the game.
2021, 5’7, SG, Pacifica (Santa Monica) HS, Abigail Clark Abigail Clark 5'7" | SG Pacifica (Santa Monica) | 2021 State CA – Abigail is the best scorer in this bunch in our opinion, she is able to get buckets by the bunches as we watched her play this year and last. She is definitely a combo guard with a nice skill set, but she is solid as they come for a hustle player as well. She can score, she can pass it, she can defend and she is relentless when it comes to scoring the ball for her team. She is a 2x – First Team All League and First Team All-CIFSS in 5AA. She is one to take a good look at and is a pretty solid girl in our opinion as well.
