came up huge for the Gators in crucial moments Saturday at the Holiday Classic. She had her range dialed in from beyond the arc hitting many triples, none bigger than a deep dagger buzzer beater to end the 2nd quarter. Taylor greatly impressed me as an effective defender, ball handler, shooter, and all around PG for Arbor Prep.

Wallace had a terrific fall and was lights out specifically at the City Slam. I remember telling her that day that she looked like a D1 shooter. Thanks for making me look smart Taylor because that’s the look she had yesterday in her team’s win against South Lake. Wallace showed why she’s probably one of the best pure shooters in the state this season.

Wallace absolutely torched the nets at the City Slam Championships. She couldn’t miss during the 3 point contest and continued with the hot hand in game play. Wallace is quite simply a next level shooter. A D2 could get a steal with her ability to run the offense and bury a triple with volleyball line type range.

Wallace actually took 1st place in both of the contests. She was lights out in all 3 rounds of the 3 point contest. Wallace even hit 8 of 10 volleyball line triples in the finals to secure the win. It wasn’t just makes, her shot snapped through the bottom of the net often times not touching the rim.

Wallace was a highly influential player on both ends at Run 4 The Roses. It wasn’t that she just made plays, but she made big plays. Wallace forced turnovers on defense and showed the she can defend the entire length of the floor. She continued her hot shooting from behind the arc at the event.

. She made it perfectly clear in this game that she cannot be given space or allowed to spot up from behind the arc. If you give her time to set her feet and a look at the bucket, there’s probably no need to crash the boards at that point. Wallace’s stroke looked to pure on every catch and shoot opportunity. She showed that she’s not just a shooter though, as she had an athletic take to the rim through traffic that led to an and 1.

Wallace influenced the game on both ends of the floor for Arbor Prep. Let’s start with her defense. Her team needed stops, and Wallace responded. She did a great job of playing denial defense on the perimeter and not letting scorers catch the ball cleanly. Wallace was feeling her jumper for much of the game as well. I know she hit at least 3 triples. Wallace showed off a solid spin move that led to a bucket as well.
