The queen of rebounding in the state this season, Kendra Hicks Kendra Hicks 6'0" | PF Jesuit | 2024 State OR has been putting up mind-blowing double-doubles throughout her senior season, and she put on a show already in the opening two rounds of the tournament. In the opening game against Sheldon, Hicks had 8 points, 16 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 assist; and she followed that up by scoring 23 of her team’s 39 points to go along with 14 rebounds and a steal in the close upset over Tualatin. Hicks has over 1000 rebounds, is the leading rebounder in Jesuit school history, and one of the top rebounders in state history. She will be an X-factor for the Crusaders in their tough matchup with Clackamas to kick things off.

Coming into the state tournament, Jesuit had the number one seed and finished third in the state, largely thanks to Hicks’s dominant play in the post all year long. At the state tournament, where she earned second team all-tournament, Hicks averaged 10.3 points per game on 54.2% shooting, and led all rebounders by a landslide with 12.3 boards per game including 6.0 offensive rebounds per game, again the most by any player by quite a bit. These numbers speak for themselves and are a glimpse at what Hicks has been doing her whole high school career, which is why it is no surprise that she was already scooped up by Nevada to play at the next level. She also gained honorable mention all-state recognition both by the OSAA and the OBCA. As a senior leader on the talented Crusader roster, Hicks will be a lot of fun to watch in 2023-24.
