In both of the first two rounds, Mangan led the Skyhawks in scoring while shooting the lights out from outside, finishing with three 3-pointers, 23 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal against Glencoe; and five made 3’s, 31 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists against a very good West Linn team. The crafty point guard and the Skyhawks have a tough opening round matchup at the Chiles Center against top-ranked South Medford to kick things off.
Having had the opportunity to watch her performance against Forest Grove in person, it is easy to say that Charisma Johnson Charisma Johnson 5’6″ | CG Jefferson | 2025 State OR is an absolute game changer. The junior is perhaps one of the top defenders in the state, picking pockets and slipping in passing lanes left and right and creating easy opportunities on the offensive end in the process. She led the way for the Demos in their second round matchup with Forest Grove at home with 14 points. Jefferson is absolutely stacked, and young, making them a scary sight for any team at the Chiles Center this year and in years to come.
Sara Barhoum Sara Barhoum 5’11” | SG Clackamas | 2025 State OR has been one of the top talents in the state, particularly in outside shooting, all year, and she is continuing this elite play into the postseason. She has had two monster games in the opening two rounds of the 6A tournament, knocking down an incredible seven 3-pointers to finish with 25 points, 2 assists, 1 rebound, and 1 steal against North Medford; and playing an all-around game with two made 3’s to go for 28 points, 5 assists, 4 steals, 2 rebounds, and 1 block in the second round against West Salem. She and Clackamas, who have yet to lose to an Oregon team all season, will be the team to beat this weekend.
The queen of rebounding in the state this season, Kendra Hicks Kendra Hicks 6’0″ | PF Jesuit | 2024 State OR has been putting up mind-blowing double-doubles throughout her senior season, and she put on a show already in the opening two rounds of the tournament. In the opening game against Sheldon, Hicks had 8 points, 16 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 assist; and she followed that up by scoring 23 of her team’s 39 points to go along with 14 rebounds and a steal in the close upset over Tualatin. Hicks has over 1000 rebounds, is the leading rebounder in Jesuit school history, and one of the top rebounders in state history. She will be an X-factor for the Crusaders in their tough matchup with Clackamas to kick things off.

The surprise of the final eight, #14-seeded Grants Pass dominated their opening round win over Ida B. Wells and proceeded to take down #3 McMinnville in the second round. Brooklyn Wakefield, daughter of head coach Scott Wakefield, has been a four-year starter for the Lady Cavers and was named first team all-conference in the Southwest Conference. She came up huge for her team in that upset over McMinnville, earning a double-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 steals. The forward has been putting up double-doubles all season-long, and her team will need more performances like this in the upcoming tournament weekend.
