The seventh matchup on Saturday’s eight-game schedule may have seen 5A Division 2 Greenville get the better of 4A A.C. Flora by a final score of 47-45, but Draughn proved to be a matchup problem for the Red Raiders as her 24 points displayed. Not only can the veteran guard find driving lanes to the basket, but the speed she also presents will have many defenses guessing. Draughn also has no issues drawing contact to get to the free throw line. She will also grab her fair share of rebounds. Draughn is one of three team co-captains for this year’s Falcons team.

The Falcons of 4A A.C. Flora present one of the most lethal backcourts in the Palmetto State – and those guards had their balling sneakers on in the final day of this year’s Carolina Classic. Draughn helped what was an overwhelming Falcons effort against 5A Division 2 host West Florence with a game-high 18 points en route to a 66-27 result. One of the many areas Draughn thrives is as a transition playmaker. Defensively, Draughn maintains a high level of activity and is more than willing to change her defensive assignment on the fly. The veteran two guard and team co-captain also understands the art of creating offense with her defense. A.C. Flora did not have any All-Tournament honorees, but a strong case could be made for Draughn.

The lone game for SC Future 17U on Saturday was a matchup in the middle portions of the afternoon against Ohio Crossover Athletics 2026. The assembling from the Buckeye State came away with the win, but Draughn ensured it would have to earn every single bit of it. Opposing teams always have to keep their eye on her because of her immense playmaking abilities. They also have to keep an eye on her because of how accurate she can be from 3-point range. Defense and making plays in transition are other positives to her overall game. Draughn played in 28 games last season with 4A A.C. Flora and averaged 14.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.1 steals for the Falcons.

Draughn and her 4A A.C. Flora team was locked in what was the game of the day against 5A Riverside – in what was a rematch of last season’s 4A state championship game. Even though the Warriors earned the victory once again, Draughn still put forth a winning effort having scored 15 points. The 5-foot-6 guard understands the art of not only scoring but also rebounding. When one watches Draughn on the court, one word comes to mind – playmaker. Many of those plays are made either on defense or when she has the ball in her hands and finds one of her open teammates.

Draughn is a talent that has had one of the more interesting journeys through high school girls basketball. That trek has now brought her to contender status with 4A A.C. Flora. Draughn can put points on the board in a hurry, but may not be relied on to do as much this coming season given the supporting cast she will have around her with the Falcons. A product of the SC Future program in the Midlands, her speed and agility allow her to create her own shots. She knows when to score and when to distribute. As a defender, she can make things difficult as well.
