<p class="p1">Post play makers are important for any team hoping to score some points in the paint and grab some big rebounds.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Here are some of the forwards that stood out at LBI Opening Day.</p>
<p class="p1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="275962" first="Aly" last="Wadkovsky"] | FBC Carolinas Elite 17U Adams | 2022</b></p>
<p class="p1">Wadkovsky (pictured above) uses her size and strength to have her way in the paint.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She moves well all over the court, and she constantly moves on offense to get the entry pass.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>The Elon University commit is certainly college ready with the way she moves her feet when posting up in the paint, and she does all the little things coaches want her to do besides moving from block to block like moving around the court letting plays develop and crashing the boards for rebounds.</p>

<p class="p1">Lester sees the floor well finding the open areas of the court and makes smart passes to get everyone involved.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She posts up well using her feet and strength to get her position.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She knows how to read plays on defense, too, jumping into passing lanes and immediately finding her open teammate in transition to score.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She can certainly take these steals the other end of the court herself, too.</p>
<p class="p1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="275969" first="Madisyn" last="Jordan"] | Carolina Flames 16U EYBL | 2023</b></p>
<p class="p1">Jordan closes out on her opponents with speed making it difficult for them to get their shots up.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She can drive the ball all the way to the basket fighting through contact on the way.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She makes sure she is present in transition to get the pass and score, and she even showed off a nice spin move along the way.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She has a nice midrange jump shot she can use, too.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She hustles back on defense making sure opponents have to fight for their fast break points.</p>
<p class="p1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="275970" first="Amari" last="Palmer"] | Carolina Flames 16U EYBL | 2023</b></p>
<p class="p1">Palmer plays aggressively on both ends of the court posting up on the block and fighting for rebounds.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She tracks the ball down and blocks shots preventing her opponents from scoring.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She does a great job opening up the block for her guards to pass there while she moves into position and scores.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She runs the floor well in transition looking for the open passes to get the fast break points.</p>
<p class="p1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="261175" first="Laniya" last="Scales"] | FBC Carolinas Elite David | 2024</b></p>
<p class="p1">Scales has some great height on her using that to make it difficult for her opponents.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She had a nice block in transition making sure her opponents knew she was all over the court when she needed to be.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Not only does she box out on rebounds, but she follows shots making sure she always has a chance to grab it.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She runs the floor well making sure she is available for passes in transition.</p>

<p class="p1">Strong continues to show how dynamic of a player she already is.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She is persistent when fighting for points in the paint.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She runs the floor well making sure she is available in transition, and she fights for every rebound on both ends of the court.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She can certainly track the ball well on defense showing off her shot blocking ability.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She does a good job keeping her head on a swivel passing the ball back out to her teammates after she gets an entry pass.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She can grab steals and throw the ball up the court right where a teammate is running for them to score in transition.</p>
