Prep Girls Hoops is back at it again this time down on the Grand Strand at the NTBA State Tourney in Myrtle Beach. Prep Girls Hoops takes a look at some girls from 2025-2027 class right here on your source for basketball coverage in the Palmetto State. [player_tooltip player_id="275339" first="Maya" last="Collins"] (2025) - Home School (Myrtle Beach) - Manzer Collins just brings a smooth demeanor to the floor every time she plays. Collins doesn’t look to force any shots and really can carve out the defense with her passing skills. Collins will be joining the 2025 Class according to her father because of Covid-19 this past year. [player_tooltip player_id="252502" first="Sabri" last="Mitchell"] (2025) - Military Magnet - Shots United Red (pictured on front) Mitchell was a very instrumental part of the Lady Eagles success this past season while averaging 7.4 ppg and 6.8 rebounds. Mitchell a 8th grader really runs the floor well and just seems to glide from side to side with her footwork. Mitchell was able to block some shots today down in the paint along with her great athleticism. [player_tooltip player_id="196266" first="Dream" last="Watson"] (2025) - Pinckney M.S. - Shots United Red Watson ran the show this past season for Head Coach Jimmy Brown and the Burke HS Lady Bulldogs. Watson really surveys the defense with her ability to get the ball into the paint and gaps. Watson plays at a good pace and can at times really cause some havoc on the defensive end of the floor with her quick hands. [player_tooltip player_id="280465" first="Alyvia" last="Tocco"] (2026) - Northwood Academy (Summerville) - Coastal Select Tocco has a GREAT SET OF HANDS down in the paint. Tocco keeps the ball up high after rebounding it on both ends of the floor. Tocco was able to fill the lane in transition. Tocco plays her best basketball in the paint around the basket. Tocco plays extremely hard looks to have a bright future down the road. [player_tooltip player_id="324560" first="Maleya" last="Birch"] (2027) - Northwood Academy (Summerville) - Coastal Select Birch is just a 6th GRADER and she is going to be a good one in due time. Birch is the younger sister of [player_tooltip player_id="171805" first="Alayah" last="Birch"] (2024) and the daughter of Northwood Academy Head Coach Ginnell Curtis. Birch helped her Coastal Select 7th grade team to the NTBA State Championship. Birch plays the game with a great eye on the floor as a pass first point guard.
