Transition Buckets: Recap of Key 2028 Transfers

We are a month away from the 2026-27 high school basketball season tipping off – and it will be doing so following what was a busy time on the transfer front.

Transfers are always a story of every offseason, but it was especially busy over the last several months with a large number of the state's premier names bringing their many hoops talents to new schools.

We at Prep Girls Hoops were keeping a close watch on transfer developments over the last several months. Here is a refresher on noteworthy names from the 2028 class that will be in new uniforms this season.

Lee-Sutton has competed at the high school varsity level since she was a seventh grader. She has been associated with the navy blue and gold of Keenan but has brought her talents to 5A Ridge View. Lee-Sutton joins coach Aaron Lucas' Blazers a year after guiding coach Reggie McLain's Raiders to a 3A Lower State championship. She ran with AEBL this past spring and summer during club ball and will look to continue her winning ways – and those of Ridge View – this season. Lee-Sutton played in 25 of Keenan's 27 games last season while averaging 22.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.2 steals and 3.3 assists per game. The points, assists and steals statistics were all team leads last season for the Raiders.

Speaking of prospects who played in state games back in March at Colonial Life Arena, that applies to Reynolds. She was a key piece in Wando's run to a 5A Division 1 Lower State championship but has transitioned to 3A Oceanside Collegiate starting this season. Reynolds, being in the Lowcountry, did not have a far distance to travel to arrive at this past weekend's South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association (SCBCA) Camp at the North Charleston Athletic Center. She was one of three of coach Mandy Harrison's Landsharks that earned invites to the weekend's camp. Reynolds competed in 26 of the Warriors' 27 games last season while averaging 12.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, three steals and 2.2 assists per game.

Crawford was another of the three from 3A Oceanside Collegiate that were on hand at the Elite Camp in North Charleston. She is another that formerly was part of last season's Wando team that became a Landshark over the offseason. Crawford competed in 28 matchups last season at 5A Division 1 Wando while averaging 6.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 1.7 assists per game last season. The Oceanside Collegiate team she is joining has qualified for back-to-back 3A Lower State championship games and is set to once again be one of the toughest 3A outs in the state in 2026-27.

The bulk of Sapp's high school career has been in the green and gold hues of 4A Aiken. She wore the colors of another 4A team – North Augusta - last season and helped the Yellow Jackets to its seventh state championship in 10 years in what was coach Al Young final season at the helm. Sapp is returning to the Green Hornets a year after she competed in 28 games at North Augusta. Aiken had a forgettable 2025-26 season where it finished with a record of 6-18 while barely earning a 4A tournament berth. Sapp's return should restore positive fortunes to the Green Hornets.

Over the offseason, Brittany Lee replaced longtime head coach Jeff Schaffer at the helm of 5A Sumter. Last season's Gamecocks finished 12-12 (4-8 in its region) but a pair of transfers could signal a return to Sumter's winning ways. One of those is Isaac who departed from Lower Richland to wear Gamecock blue and gold. Isaac has played at the high school varsity level since she was in middle school and competed in 21 contests last season under coach Morgan Stroman with the Diamond Hornets. Isaac was one of eight from the class of 2028 on last season's Lower Richland assembling.

Glenn is the other transfer that made her way to the Gamecocks of 5A Sumter over the offseason. A [program_tooltip program_id='713550' first='Palmetto' last='76ers'] product, she transferred to Sumter from nearby Lakewood which dropped in classification from 4A to 3A. Throughout her 2025-26 season, she averaged 9.4 points per game for the Gators and has also displayed plenty of prowess as a rebounder. Glenn was one of six from the class of 2028 on last season's Lakewood team in addition to being one of its three co-captains. Prior before ascending to the high school level, Glenn played her middle school ball at Alice Drive MS.

Hall had a previous stint at Seneca than transferred to Daniel last season and is making her triumphant return to the Bobcats. Seneca will resume play as a 3A combatant beginning with the 2026-27 season following a pair of seasons as a 4A team. Hall has competed in a variety of sports throughout her career including track and field as well as cross country alongside her basketball accolades. Hall's sophomore season would see her compete in 22 of the Lions' 27 matchups for a Daniel team that was a 4A Upper State semifinalist. She was one of three from the class of 2028 on last season's team.

In its inaugural season, Lake Wylie athletic programs including volleyball and football have held their own throughout the fall semester. Chargers fans are hoping that translates to its basketball teams and Pearson sporting Lake Wylie colors should greatly help in that process. Pearson played on the Under Armour circuit during the spring and summer grassroots months with a Team Mack team that recently merged with Lady Attack Elite to form Carolina One. She arrives to Lake Wylie from Clover following a 2025-26 where she played in 25 of the Blue Eagles' 26 games under coach Shakkia Walker. Pearson will remain under the tutelage of coach Dameon McCain who was an assistant under Walker at Clover. The Chargers' first game will be at home on Nov. 17 vs. 4A Gaffney.

Last season, Henry was part of a Legacy Early College team that finished its 2025-26 season with a record of 15-7. Over the offseason, Henry substituted her purple and gold Lions threads for the navy and maroon of 4A Fountain Inn. Henry competed in 22 contests last season with the Lions and joins a Fury assembling that put together a 15-12 season in 2025-26. She was one of two from the class of 2028 on last season's Legacy Early College team. Prior to becoming part of the Palmetto State's high school athletics scene, Henry competed in the Chicago area at Homewood-Flossmoor.

In 2025-26, McCaskill was part of a Lake Marion team that concluded its 2025-26 season with a stellar 20-9 record. She has made the move from one team that competed in the 2A ranks to another that was reclassified into 2A in Orangeburg-Wilkinson. As a Gator last season, McCaskill played in 26 of Lake Marion's 29 contests. She joins a Bruins team that went 15-11 last season in addition to winning six of its eight region contests. Her grassroots career has included a stint with OBX Xpress 16U. McCaskill was one of six from the class of 2028 on last season's Lake Marion squad.
