Francis Marion Team Camp: 2023 Top Performers

The 2023 Palmetto State Class sure didn’t disappoint this weekend at the Francis Marion University Team Camp. Nettles plays the game so smooth from the back court and always seems to be under-control. Alaina was able to drop some floaters around the paint or knockdown a nice pull-up mid-range jumper. Nettles shows to have great body control going to the cup. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-297297" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/06/25B6BA5A-41FC-43E3-BCE3-57E50E6BA022.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="261916" first="Ryian" last="Howard"] - Cane Bay HS </strong> Howard does all the little things to help your team win games. Ryian looks to rebound, grab a loose ball, make a big defensive stop or just some great encouragement and chatter from the floor to a teammate. Howard likes to chat it up at times in a good way and really plays the game with a lot of PASSION. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-297301" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/06/2A8B6E42-8BA2-4ED9-9AD1-256F58EE0B86.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171785" first="Lindsay" last="Garner"] - Lexington HS </strong> Garner works all over the blocks and really stays active away from the ball. Garner will face-up for a short jumper or look to set a screen when available. I would like to see Garner get a bit more assertive on the offensive end of the floor at times. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="194863" first="Kamya" last="Hatten"] - Legacy Early College (pictured on front) </strong> Hatten brings a blue-collar mindset to the floor with her game. Hatten plays bigger than her size at times and doesn’t mind drawing contact down in the paint. Hankerson really gets her teammates involved in the offense. Laila is the older of 3 Hankerson’s on the Bearcats roster. Andrews always seemed to be in the right place at right time to make a play. Andrews is a great role player on this talented team who finished runner-up last season in the Class 5A State Championship Game.
