Throughout the course of this month, I will do my best to bring you daily updates on players I’ve seen the previous day. Some articles will include strictly Indiana prospects, while others might include other Midwestern or National prospects. Below is a look at six young ladies who I felt stood out with their play in the games I was able to see yesterday at the Battle in the Boro in Louisville, Kentucky.

Isabel is a feisty, hard-working point guard with a nonstop motor. She has good length, speed and quickness, and she does a really nice job of getting into the defense. She can finish tough-angled shots, but she also does a tremendous job of drawing contact and earning repeated trips to the free throw line. She can play off the ball and knock down an open rhythm jumper as well, plus she’s a solid on-ball defender.

Kennedy has improved a great deal throughout this Spring/Summer. She’s had to play a lot of minutes, but it has helped her play at a faster speed against bigger and stronger opponents. She, herself, looks stronger, and she’s playing with a bit more physicality. Kennedy still prefers to either attack from the perimeter or shoot it facing the basket, even as deep as 3-point range. But she is playing with a lot more assertiveness.

, 2023, 5-10 SG, Daviess County H.S. (KY)
Adylan is a long, wiry-strong, fast, and bouncy athlete who plays with a nice motor. She is always on the move, making plays at both ends of the floor. Offensively, she typically looks to attack the basket, and she can score with a variety of moves and finishes. She is also shooting it consistently from the perimeter. Defensively, she can guard multiple positions, and yesterday she did a nice job against a nationally ranked PG prospect.

Isabella has always been a cerebral, skilled, and hard-working point guard. She has a nice overall feel as a lead guard, and she does a nice job of taking care of the basketball and running offense. This Spring/Summer I feel like she’s being more aggressive scoring the ball, whether that’s attacking the basket or taking/making perimeter jumpers. She also looks stronger and more confident at both ends of the floor.

, 2024, 5-6 PG, Evansville Memorial H.S.
Avery is one of the better prospects in Indiana in the 2024 class, and she played at a high level yesterday when I was able to see her. She is tough-nosed, feisty, and she has a nonstop motor. She looks stronger and is absorbing contact much better, so I feel like she’s much more aggressive to the basket. She has a quick release shooting it, and she doesn’t need much space, plus she’s a solid on-ball defender.

Sara is a nice, young, traditional point guard prospect. She isn’t very big, but she’s tough-nosed, she has length, and she plays with a good motor. She has speed and quickness, but she does a nice job of changing speeds and picking her spots. When I saw her yesterday, I felt like she was an upperclassman on the floor, because she didn’t force anything and always valued the basketball. She can also shoot/score it at different levels.
