Headed to North Texas next season, Stanley’s Fort Gibson’s team only has two losses so far this year. Both losses would come at the Tournament of Champions, after beating Edmond Memorial in the first round. Laynee made the All-Tournament team at the Inola Tournament. Stanley and point guard Addy Whitely make for a tremendous duo. Long strides and great instincts make her such a disruptive defender, with a nice one motion jump shot.

Was a bright spot for Fort Gibson in the tough loss. Stanley’s stretch forward credentials were on display, shooting it well from distance by going 3 of 5 from three. Scored 11 points and added a couple blocks. Including one where she stayed with and swatted the shot of one of the tougher covers in Oklahoma. Fort Gibson will have a chance to bounce tomorrow with another premier match up, expect the future North Texas forward to be ready for battle.

With one of the best motors in Oklahoma, the eastern Oklahoma standout is headed south to nearby North Texas for her collegiate career. Stanley’s outstanding effort often stands out with the way she attacks the glass, on both ends of the court. Her desire to make an impact in anyway possible led to a very productive spring and summer against national competition on Adidas’ circuit. While her height, athleticism and motor are her main traits, the forward has seen growth on the skill side of the game. A steady jumper, especially from beyond the arc, allows her to help spread the floor and bring versatility to her production profile.

Another standout from that same Pass Tha Ball event and notice I said she was “long and athletic” and her “upside was scary” and when you know and don’t guess, things fall into place. She finished around the basket after contact, putbacks included yet her “catch and shoot” from outside was also nice. Her rebounding as well as defense stood out yet her timing to black, alter, and (or) deflect shots JUST DID IT for me

Laynee is a very versatile player as she can play the 3-5 positions on the floor. One time down she could be posting up a smaller player and next time down shooting a 3 from the outside. A match problem for some teams when she plays the 3 spot and teams switch all screens. Even if the defense jams her for a no face cut they are too small and the pass goes over the top.
Excellent defender on the help rotation protecting the rim with the block shot. Laynee has received offers form many D1 schools.

A solid 6’1 build, Stanley draws a lot of attention inside, and she has the strength to hold her own and bang in the paint. She did a great job of boxing out on every possession. She consistently shoots and connects on an effortless elbow jumper. In the full court press, she is AMAZING as the back person in a zone press. Very vocal, making reads that lead to deflections or steals. Most importantly, if the opposing team was able to break the press and get in the paint she does not give up an easy basket.

An ideal highlight tape not only from the standpoint of showing the full range of Stanley’s skillset, but it’s also front loaded with plays that standout. It showcased her ability to put it on the deck, even with behind the back moves, as a driving face up threat and a forward who can push it for coast to coast takes. The soft touch she has around the rim also extended out to the three point line, with mid-range jumpers sprinkled in. After having watched a full game earlier this year that proved the Fort Gibson Lady Tiger can do the dirty work, seeing the upside with good handles and shooting from the forward, was a huge sign of the long term potential of Stanley.

The junior joined with Brown to give Fort Gibson a superior edge throughout on the glass and in the paint. From grabbing rebounds, protecting the rim with blocks and even showing some defensively versatility by her moving her feet well on some perimeter defensive reps, Stanley is a steady, grinder who can impact the game even when not scoring. The forward prospect did hit a triple and made more of an offensive impact in the second half.

Laynee is a skilled forward that plays with passion and heart. She is a gym-rat that works on her game and it’s clear to know that when you watch her play. She has a consistent mid-range game and can also stretch the floor with her ability to shoot. She is aggressive attacking the basket and can finish in a variety of ways. She has proved to be a consistent leader and contributor at Fort Gibson and led her team to the 4A State tournament in the 2022-2023 school season. She has loads of potential and if she continues on her current pace she will be one heck of a player at the next level.

will be playing for Ft Gibson this season in from Kansas. Already a dominate player at the high school level I am always impressed on how she continues to develop her game. Her scoring ability in the paint to go along with being a strong rebounder gives her the capability of being a double double player every game. Where continues to develop is her outside shooting from deep to go with the ball handling skills
