Central District Players to Watch!

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="32618" first="Imarianah" last="Russell"]- 5’11, SF, 2022,  Reynoldsburg H.S.: </strong> (<em>Below on defense) </em>A very soon to be West Virginia Mountaineer, Russell is such a dominating, physically strong, gifted player! Executes very well on transition, attacking the basket, and a confident outside shooter. Defensively she's a beast, sticks to her player! <img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-325313" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/09/IMG_0080.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="211792" first="Mya" last="Perry"]- 5’11, SF, 2022,  Reynoldsburg H.S.: </strong>Perry, a future Ohio State Buckeye, is another huge weapon for Reynoldsburg. Reads the defense well, smooth player who can knock down the 3's from anywhere, and distributes the ball with some zing! Executes in half court game, finding the open spots. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="164290" first="Maddie" last="Vejsicky"]- 6’0, SF, 2022, Newark H.S.:  </strong>(<em>Below, shooting) </em>One of the purest outside shooters I've seen, Vejsicky is such a lethal weapon for Newark. She can take over a game with her 3's- nothing but nylon! With her length and agility, she's a tough defender, and has no problem taking the ball to the basket with grace and control. <img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-325307" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/09/IMG_5469-2-261x300.jpeg" alt="" width="261" height="300" /> &nbsp; <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="266969" first="Lauren" last="Scott"]- 5’7, CG, 2022,  Worthington Kilbourne H.S.:  </strong>(<em>Below with basketball) </em>Scott is a confident floor leader, with excellent handles, super quick off the dribble moves to the bucket. You want the ball in Lauren's hands! She rises to any challenge, makes the big shots. And on the defensive end, she's aggressive and quick. <img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-325306" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/09/IMG_5461.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="212899" first="Gwen" last="Stare"]- 5’9, SG, 2022, Newark H.S.: </strong>(<em>Below on defense) </em>Stare is never rattled!  Love how she plays the game with such poise, control, and not only has assurance in herself, but her teammates. Can go 1v1 with anyone, often resulting in points! She is a creator- I often think she can visualize plays before they happen!  <img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-325315" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/09/IMG_5471.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="164654" first="Madison" last="Greene"]- 5’6, PG, 2023, Pickerington Central H.S.:  </strong>Greene is a crafty guard, with such light, jet quick feet- and her handles are superb! Knows how to penetrate and dish to her teammates. Her defense creates easy transition points. Nails outside shots, and her passes are spot on! Look for Greene to have a huge impact season! <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="214495" first="Jenna" last="Kopyar"]- 5’8, CG, 2023, Dublin Coffman H.S.:  </strong>Kopyar is one tough, active, smooth play maker for the Coffman Rocks. Love how she is able to split defenders and attack the basket with ease. She's difficult to stop in half court game, as well as transition. Great body control, doesn't force passes or shots. Jenna is the real deal. (<em>Featured Photo)</em> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="217332" first="Kamryn" last="Grant"]- 6’1, PF, 2024, Africentric H.S.:  </strong>Grant plays with such explosion!  How she attacks the rim and rebounds is so fun to watch, and a nightmare for opponents to stop. She can outjump nearly anyone, which raises her game to another level. No problem hitting shots with contact- smooth, strong body control. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="217321" first="Berry" last="Wallace"]- 6’0, SF, 2024, Pickerington Central H.S.:  </strong>(<em>Below, shooting) </em>Fundamentals are just spot on for Wallace- this young lady knows how to put the ball in the basket, whether it be from outside, or in the paint. Berry has a soft touch around the rim, and her footwork inside allows her to execute with no problem. Her size, strength, and quickness are such bonuses, combined with her money shots from behind the arc! High basketball IQ, competes on both ends of the floor, and just keeps getting better and better!
