Rankings Stock Risers 2022 The 2022 class went through their final summer to showcase their skill for coaches.  Some players took a break but many put in work during the Covid shutdown.  Here are some players that rose in the rankings over the summer as they head into their senior season. [player_tooltip player_id="25571" first="Yonta" last="Vaughn"] - 5’8" - Point Guard - Bishop McNamara - From #7 to #3 [caption id="attachment_334289" align="alignnone" width="300"]<a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/10/Yonta-crop-1334x876-1633107573.jpeg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-334289" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/10/Yonta-crop-1334x876-1633107573-300x197.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="197" /></a> Photo: Unpublished[/caption] Yonta’s summer campain really showed off her complete arsenal of skills.  She displayed the full package at the Nike Nationals running the team, getting teammates the ball in position to score while scoring herself.  She is a threat from deep to keep defenders honest but can also blow by and get to the basket if they overplay the shot. [player_tooltip player_id="325274" first="Zanai" last="Barnett"]-Gay - 5’7" - Combo Guard - Riverdale Baptist - From unranked to #7 You might say it’s a little misleading to say Zanai was unranked, however, she was unranked in the 2022 class.  She was ranked but flew way under the radar in the 2021 class due mainly to the pandemic shutdown.  As a 2022 she emerges at a new school as one of the top players in the class. Kirah Dandridge - 5’10" - Forward - New Hope Academy - 16 to #10 K.D. plays with a lot of confidence and will go at any player reguardless of status.  She is versitile enough to play inside and on the perimeter and can guard both.  Her effort on the floor elevates her game above players with the exact same skillset and that effort should carry over at the next level. [player_tooltip player_id="88783" first="Alexis" last="Black"] - 5’9" - Shooting Guard - Word of Life - From #26 to #20 The Appalacian State commit used the summer to elevate her stock as her high school seasons since her freshman year have been highly under the radar.  Her talent has never been in question but seeing her perform against high level competition was the measuring stick that gave her the bump up. [player_tooltip player_id="137230" first="Delaney" last="Yarborough"] - 6’3" - Post - McDonogh -  From #44 to #27 Delaney has the size that college coaches crave.  She has been close to 6’3" since middle school and all she needed was to continue her development and maturity in the paint which she has done every year.  She is physical and tough to move when she is in position.  She has soft hands to finish in the paint which helps her get to the line frequently as defenders have to foul. [player_tooltip player_id="319905" first="Imani" last="James"] - 5’10" - Wing - Riverdale Baptist  - From unranked to #42 James drops in at #42 as a newcomer to the rankings.  The long wing will benefit from an aggressive high school schedule at RBS and a coach that has a history of explointing talent and developing high level wings.  James has a chance to become one of the premier wings this season as the Crusaders will hit the year with a national schedule.
