2024 5-11 W [player_tooltip player_id="317460" first="Jazmin" last="Thornton"] – Callaway
One of the more intriguing long-term prospects at camp was [player_tooltip player_id="317460" first="Jazmin" last="Thornton"]. She’s a long lefty that plays on the perimeter. She uses her length when crashing the boards to earn second chance opportunities. Thornton is still growing into her body, but her wiry frame and mobility project at the next level. She tended to settle for too many outside shots in the game I saw, but when she was aggressive and worked her way to the basket she was quite effective.
2022 6-0 W [player_tooltip player_id="247672" first="Madison" last="Lee"] – Statesboro
The versatility of [player_tooltip player_id="247672" first="Madison" last="Lee"] gives Coach Marty Holder an ace in his back pocket. Lee can play 1-5 in spurts and can help initiate the offense and break the press. She was comfortable starting fast breaks after cleaning up rebounds and has the foot speed to get down court quickly. Lee’s highlight of the game was an attack off the dribble which resulted in a spin into a fadeaway jumper from the mid-range. She’s an exceptional rebounder for her size, sneaking in to snatch rebounds and push the ball in transition. Charlton has a good handle and uses her quickness to get to the rack.
