Metro Buckeye Conference Preview

The Metro Buckeye Conference has dropped to seven teams in their conference, and not all of them may have girls basketball this season. Averaging 23 points per game last year, Smith is heads and above everyone in the league this season. She has an excellent perimeter shot, can drive past her defender and score at the rim. Also sees the floor very well. Aailyah Longshaw was the second leading scorer for the Bulldogs meaning they could be the favorites this season. Legacy Christian took the biggest hit, losing their top two players and reining Player of the Year Emma Hess and key guard Kathleen Ahner both to college, but watch for Margaret Kensinger to be a big threat from the perimeter, as she got hot in the post season last year from behind the arc. Dayton Christian returns a sparkplug in guard Alena Seaquist, who returns as the leading scorer and floor leader.
