10 Unsigned Seniors That Shouldn’t Be

With the high school season all wrapped up we can turn our attention to those talented seniors who have been overlooked or just have not found the right fit <span style="font-family: Lato, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;font-size: 16px;font-weight: 400">for college yet. Here is a look at ten that I have seen during the high school season...</span> <strong>Destiny Perry</strong>, 5'6 point guard, Sparrows Point Destiny is a slick, pass first point guard that can also score. Playing at Sparrows Point did not provide her with the best exposure opportunities, but she has managed to draw the attention of some DII schools during her summer play. She is a solid player on both ends that can help a program. <strong>Inaya Billy</strong>, 5'11, Western Tech Inaya is a strong finisher who will bang inside, but she is also a capable three point shooter. She has a better than average handle and her best position is probably power forward but she can probably guard small forwards as well. She will step right in and contribute to a college program next year. <strong>Trinity Horton</strong>, 5'8, Chesapeake (BC) Trinity had a great senigor season. She had her jersey retired after setting the school's record for scoring, topping the 1,000 point mark. She is a slashing wing that will step out and knock down some threes. <strong>Robyn Howard</strong>, 5'7 guard, National Christian Academy, Robyn is a smooth operator that scores in bunches. She is aggressive and gets into the paint at will. I am really not sure why she is still unsigned. She is probably the best unsigned guard in the area. <strong>Katerra Myers</strong>, 5'7 guard, Paint Branch Tough lead guard that can play off the ball and score. Katerra attacks the basket relentlessly and can knock down threes. I saw her compete against a very strong Bishop McNamara team and hold her own during the season. This kid can play.  <strong>Rebecca Ford</strong>, 5'9 forward, Long Reach Ms. Ford has guard skills but played primarily in the post area during the season due to Long Reach's lack of size. She is a strong rebounder and plays good on ball and team defense. She sets good screens and finishes inside. Every team needs a player like this that does a lot of little things well. <strong>Billie Johnson</strong>, 6'2 post, Largo Billie is a big physical presence although a bit raw. She is a legit 6'2 and solidly built and definitely moves people around in the paint. <strong>Latavia Jackson</strong>, 5'6 point guard, North Point Latavia is an experienced lead guard that has contributed since her freshman season. She was an an All Met selection this season after scoring nearly 20 points per game. She has a few offers from division II schools on the table. <span style="font-size: 12pt"><strong>Jasmine Hilton, </strong>5'10 forward, CH Flowers</span> <span style="font-size: 12pt">Jasmine is fresh off a 4A state championship and she played a big role in it. She is a tough and gritty defender and rebounder with a knack for making big plays at the right time. She looks like she is still recovering from a knee injury but she was productive while playing heavy minutes in two playoff games.</span> <span style="font-size: 12pt"><strong>Kobie Scott-Pearson</strong></span>, <span style="font-size: 12pt">5'11 wing, Oakland Mills</span> <span style="font-size: 12pt">Kobe is a versatile wing that is capable of guarding multiple positions. She's an athletic lefty that can stretch the floor when needed. She's a smooth operator with an explosive first step. She is drawing interest from a Big South school and some DII schools as well. </span>
