Risby is smooth with the ball and understands how to get the defender off balance and score off the dribble using nice body control on her finishes, after contact included. She also creates her shot while being defended as well as creates spacing to drop the midrange but her “catch and shoot” from deep was nice along with her “on the ball” defense, which includes taking charges

Risby blew up over the club season which is no surprise to me as she showed what she could do IN FRONT OF COLLEGE COACHES which is always the best way. Her mom and aunt starred at Bryan HS, so the work ethic is in her genes as she falls into that “never takes a play off” group. Her first step to score off the dribble is nice, and so is her jumper yet her “on the ball” pressure is smothering at times

Risby is an athletic guard who truly understands how to use her athleticism on both ends and she blew completely up during the viewing period shutting down some big names defensively while scoring multiple ways, including from mid to long-range. One thing is for sure, pressure is irrelevant as she wanted the last shot and delivered yet court vision was also solid
