Jayda Mayles, 2023 Wing, Pikesville
Pikesville advanced and won the 1A regional championship with a resounding 80-31 win over Western Tech. Jayda got the Panthers off to a steaming hot start with 18 first half points on her way to a 20 point game. Jayda is a shooter and hit a variety of shots but most of the damage was done from long range. Look for her to play a big role going forward.
Ashley Dickey Ashley Dickey 5'6" | CG Catonsville | 2022 State MD , 2022, Guard, Catonsville
Ashley is an explosive combo guard that has been putting up big numbers all season. In the Comets 62-33 win over Perry Hall she went off for 33 points. The crafty lefty is still looking for the right college fit while she sorts through her offers.
Myah Hazelton, 2024, Forward, Sparrows Point
Myah is a big time prospect due to her versatility and legit size. She measures in at 6’4″ and knows how to use all of that length. She led Sparrows Point with 27 points and 12 rebounds in their 2A playoff win this past week and led them to the 2A regional title. She is a name that you are going to be hearing about a lot in the future.
Madison Nimmo Madison Nimmo 5'2" | PG Milton Wright | 2022 State MD , 2022, Guard, C. Milton Wright
Maddie is a high scoring guard that can play on and off the ball. She recently cracked 1,000 career points and last week scored 28 points to lead CM Wright to their regional championship. She has committed to play at Lynchburg University next season where she should be a day one contributor.
Taylor Leaman, 2022, Forward, Manchester Valley
Manchester Valley had a nice run through Carroll County but their season ended this week with a loss to Howard High. Taylor did not go down without a fight. She scored a team high 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and battled from the opening tip until the final buzzer. She has a nice touch around the basket and good footwork. She showed off her range by knocking down a three pointer. She has decided that she will not play in college because she will be occupied with pre-med requirements.
Gabrielle Kennerly Gabrielle Kennerly 5'10" | SF Howard | 2023 State MD , 2023, Guard, Howard
Gabby came out and set the tone early on defense with a couple of steals which led to transition buckets and got her team fired up. She was very effective on offense and scored a game high 28 points. She did damage on the offensive glass, getting several put back baskets and also scored on drives to the hoop, drawing multiple “and 1” opportunities. She knocked down a couple of threes for good measure in a really solid outing.
