is a WORKER—she’s everywhere on the floor. While she can score, what stands out the most is her ability to guard positions 1 through 5. She’s quick enough to stay in front of her defender on the wing and track her opponent in transition, yet strong and confident enough to dominate in the post.
Shaw plays with an edge but is never out of control. I’ve never seen her get upset about a play or call; she just goes out and makes the next big play. If coaches could, they’d leave her in the game the entire time because she makes everyone around her better without sacrificing her own production.
Amaya averaged 15.9 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game this past season. She will be transferring to the powerhouse Winter Haven, a team full of multiple college prospects, and she will still shine as she can fit into any system.

Love Amaya’s strength and size- serious beast in the paint! She is a wall with her hands up, plays physical defense. Her height and athleticism is frustrating for opponents, certainly knows how to put the ball in the bucket and grab rebounds!

This team was one of the most exciting teams to watch at the FABC Showcase and Shaw’s performance was impressive. She scored on the inside, rebounded well, and displayed athleticism and a high basketball IQ.

The 6-2 power forward is not your traditional back to the basket type of player. Shaw adds speed and length where she is a great rebounder and shot blocker. On the offensive end, Shaw has a smooth mid-range jumper and can score in a variety of ways. She is also an excellent driver to the basket and finishes efficiently on both sides. Shaw can also run the floor exceptionally well and finish in transition at a high level.
