The Tennessee signee missed most of the season with a lower-body injury that kept her sidelined until early January. Since returning to the floor, she has been the Golden Goose, igniting her team as postseason play approaches. She brings a solid body of work back into the fold where she sets the nets on fire and helps control the boards. Keep an eye on this young lady as she and the Lady Raiders battle it out down the stretch.

The Lady Vol signee is back from injury and she has picked up like she had never left. Dropped 22 points 6 rebs, and 6 steals, on her way to helping her ball club grab at W against McMinn Co. Lauren has brought some energy around the club as they look to make a run towards state contention . Look for her to continue to get her footing and have performances such as these down the stretch.

The dual sport athlete could go big time in either volleyball or basketball. This kid is just built differently. She has the pedigree and the accolades that she has accrued over the years, however, she is one of the very few student athletes that has the size that can play inside and out. Normally, someone with her stature is thrown down low. However, she was one of the few kids who started from the outside and would work her way in if need be. She has had a stellar career in Cleveland. She too ignited a program that needed a jolt. Their crosstown rivals have been getting the headlines lately, however, this young lady has helped bring new energy to a storied Lady Raiders program. Look for Lauren to go out with a bang and help propel the Cleveland Lady Raiders to new heights.

Only time will tell when this young lady will announce where she is going and in what sport. She stars in volleyball too, an athletic versatile kid who can do any and all things. Sticking with the basketball theme, this kid is a multi-level scoring threat who can utilize her frame to exploit the weakness of an opponent. Can do it inside or out, either way she’s going to put the ball in the hole. Has had opportunities to showcase her skills at Team USA camps and various big time camps and tournaments. Whoever wins the opportunity to obtain her signature will be getting a steal. A fantastic kid who has tremendous upside.

is simply phenomenal, and is beginning to build a reputation as one of the best players in the entire country. She’s a 6’3 wing with great handles and beautiful shooting stroke. The biggest addition to her game that I’ve seen this spring is her transition into a high level passer. Vs Team Knight she showed off her elite diversity: 13 points, 2/5 from three, and 7 assists. She makes everyone around her better, she plays with intensity, and is a fiery competitor.

Hurst had a tough time finding anything on offense, but did a great job defensively on Okolo. Hurst got going with 10:00 left when she started attacking the rim and getting loose out in transition. Scored 6 straight to give them a 28-25 lead with 8:00 to play. Really started to take over. Blocked a 3 and went coast to coast. Was the ball handler in a horns set and hit a cutting Gillies for a layup. Her improvement as a passer is fun to watch. Hit both FTs on a 1-1 to put them up 3 with :18 seconds left. Added two more FTs to extend the lead. She couldn’t buy a bucket from deep, but just kept competing. Impressive outing from Hurst. The Okolo vs Hurst match up was everything it was hyped as.

When Geno comes to watch you….you put on a show!
Golly bum she’s good when she doesn’t settle. They put her in lots of different spots to take advantage of how the D was playing her—she kept attacking from the corners, had some nice backdoor cuts.
Showed her passing potential with a backdoor dime to Gillies. Hurst went on a run where she had 3 assists in 4 plays, and a layup off the dribble.
Her passing ability really stood out, and is certainly something college coaches noticed. She was effective taking her defender off the bounce. She really is a 6’2 guard that can do everything on the floor.
When she does post up, she has great hands. Feels the double coming. Does a great job creating inside/out 3s.
