Have yourself a night, Ayana! Honestly, Ayana has put up big numbers all season! Porter’s 33 point performance could not have come at a bigger time in the defeat over Farragut! I love the energy and motor that Porter plays with. I have watched thousands of athletes and not one is like Ayana! She plays with so much intensity for all four quarters on both ends of the court. She is going to play in your face defense and make you work for every step. She continues to make opponents sweat. In all honestly, she forces turnovers every game. I have used this quote at least 5 times now. THIS is the athlete that represents this quote, “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog.” Ayana Porter Ayana Porter 5'4" | PG Oak Ridge | 2025 State TN is one of the smallest athletes on the court. Keep underestimating what height can’t do! Height can’t make you a DAWG! Porter has every bit of that dawg in her!

Porter stepped up huge to help her team get a win over Cocke County. She had 28 points and 2 steals. She’s a strong athlete that finishes extremely well through contact. She was able to get to the rim with ease. She honestly made it look easy. Ayana is going to beat you off the dribble and if she gets a head of steam, she is not going to be stopped. She uses her body extremely well to defend off taller opponents. Keep your eyes on this one this season!

Ayana Porter Ayana Porter 5'4" | PG Oak Ridge | 2025 State TN has turned herself into, not just a ball player, but the District 3-AAA Player of the Year. She shot the ball lights out last season as she leveled up into becoming a high-level shotmaking PG (she’s a PG–not a wing, but I had to find a spot for her). She a great leader that knows where all of her teammates are supposed to be. Runs the show for an Oak Ridge team that didn’t have any seniors last season, and beat a lot of good opponents.

In a really good Oak Ridge vs Wayne County game, Porter showed off DEEP range. The reigning District MVP is beginning to have “walk in the gym range” and her teammates do a great job finding her. Porter did a great job moving without the ball, and does her work early by staying “shot ready” with her hands and feet. Super quick trigger. She’s locked in and ready for a huge season.

Porter blew up onto the season this year, her junior season. She because OR’s most consistent scorer, and a kid that could fill it up from all three levels. This team hangs its hat on defense though, and Porter is a contributor on that end too.

Porter came out of no-where this season to win the District 3-2A Player of Year. Averaging 18 a game, she was likely Oak Ridge’s most consistent player on a team loaded with nice talent.

Porter has been tremendous all season long. I had no idea she was such a talented offensive player, and she hasn’t taken her foot off the gas. Porter finished with 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists in a huge win over Karns. She also had 30 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds, and 3 steal performance in a big win over Halls. This Oak Ridge team looks really scary on both ends of the ball (especially with

Porter wouldn’t let Oak Ridge roll over and die, as she confidently knocked down three 3’s in the fourth quarter rally. Porter has quietly turned herself into a reliable big time shooter and scorer for Oak Ridge. With the tools they have, Porter’s development as a shooter really gives Oak Ridge a chance to make postseason noise.

In a 1st round loss at the Andrew Johnson Bank Christmas tournament to Andrew Johnson, Porter showed off her three point abilities as she was continuously involved in rallies. Porter will play a huge role for Oak Ridge down the home stretch as then must find consistent shooting to get to the level they were at last year.

Porter went off on Thursday morning vs West Greene for 22 points. Most importantly for this club, Porter did so with some high efficiency numbers: 8-12 shooting with four made 3s. I really like this team’s eventual upside if Porter can continue to develop into a consistent scorer.
