It’s tough for defenders to time her dribbles as she constantly changes pace and uses her explosive first step as a weapon. At our PGH Expo, she showcased her ability to create separation and get to her midrange shot effortlessly. Now transferring from Gibbs High School to Haines City, she fits perfectly into their fast paced playing style.

Kayden’s on-ball defense was some of the best in the entire event. She annoyed her opponents with her pressure and her relentless motor. The lefty showed terrific court vision and unselfishness on offense, but she could also score it by blowing by her defender with her quick first step. One of toughest plays on Sunday was her elevating to hit a 15 footer and drawing the foul for a three-point play.

Kayden Gause Kayden Gause Kayden Gause 5'6" | SF Haines City | 2026 State FL She can double-tap dribble the ball like no other—her body can be going one way while she manipulates the ball the other, constantly keeping defenders off balance. She does it all while playing lower than her matchup, with a strong sense of when her defender is overplaying. She immediately changes direction and pulls up for a shot, often drawing fouls because the defender is out of position, resulting in plenty of and-1 opportunities.
