is quick and fast, and don’t let her size fool you—she’s physical. She plays with a strong base and quick feet. Every time you think you have her beat, she’s back in position. She’s the type of defender who will guard you full court and force you to pass the ball just to advance it. She’s also unscreenable, staying attached to her matchup and fighting over screens. Don’t bring the ball down in the paint, either—she excels at poking it loose, especially when you least expect it.

is a defensive pest—she stays in your hip pocket the entire game, end to end. She’s one of the fastest and quickest players you’ll see. If you’re not protecting the ball, before you even realize she’s there, she’s going the other way with it. She’s also a great break starter and isn’t afraid to draw contact at the rim, either finishing through it for an and-one or getting to the free-throw line and putting your team in foul trouble.

is a tenacious defender who approaches every matchup with a personal edge. Despite her size, she is one of the quickest players on the court, using her speed to recover and shut down opponents who think they’ve beaten her—often turning defense into offense in a flash. Her gritty and tough play makes her stand out on the defensive end.
Offensively, Canaday is lightning quick with the ball in her hands, with a stop-and-go ability that keeps defenders off balance. She uses her agility to exploit taller players, attacking the rim fearlessly. Her confidence and swagger make her a constant threat, as she capitalizes on any opportunity and thrives when underestimated. Canaday will play a pivotal role in Haines City’s 7A state championship run.

was one of the most impressive guards I saw over the summer. She is small, but plays “big” and gets buckets in a lot of ways. At the Inside Exposure tournament in Gainesville, Canaday was lights out. She is a tough on-ball defender. She was taking everything in site and making plays in transition. Canday can get to the rim for herself and she can make plays for her teammates.
