With some time to reflect, I will be reviewing the players that I did not select as top performers that still made an impression. Tasked with covering Nebraska and Kansas, I will start with the Nebraska players who are ones to watch.
Addalyn Rooney | Omaha Supreme 2025 | Guard | 5’5″ | Class of 2025
Rooney is a skilled point guard, who has a strong dribbling capability and court vision. Her motor never stops, whether on offense or defense. Rooney applies full court pressure but has a methodical patience on when to attempt a steal. Her ball handling ability allows her to get into the lane for attempts to finish at the rim, however she can fill up from deep if given too much space. Rooney’s pace of play and leadership qualities were impressive and made an impression on multiple scouts.

Lucy Fierro | Omaha Supreme 2025 | Guard | 5’2″ | Class of 2025
One of the more fun players I watched over the weekend was Fierro. She is a little rocket on the court as soon as she touches the ball and has no fear of taking it to the basket. Fierro has a contagious energy on the court and can control the pace of the team with the ball in her hands. She has all the traits of a fantastic teammate and leader.
Grace Thompson Grace Thompson 5'11" | SF Elkhorn North | 2023 State NE | Omaha Supreme 2023 | Guard | 5’9″ | Class of 2023
Anytime Thompson touches the court, she is usually one of the top players on it. Thompson has a strong basketball IQ and makes heady plays on offense and defense. She guards the perimeter very well moving laterally and making fluid switches. Offensively, Thompson can get to the basket off the dribble and can make shots from beyond the arc at a high clip. Thompson is making a name for herself on the circuit and will become a hot prospect very soon.

Hannah Nadgwick Hannah Nadgwick 5'11" | C Elkhorn North | 2023 State NE | Omaha Supreme 2023 | Forward | 5’11” | Class of 2023
Nadgwick was one of the best post players I saw at Iowa West Fieldhouse. Her up and under move baited multiple defenders and her footwork down low was impressive. Nadgwick has good size and physicality which allows her to establish good position in the painted area on offense, as well as rebounding. Even with her post game being her strength, Nadgwick still has the ability to pop out with her mid range game and shoot with accuracy. Look for Nadgwick to keep growing her name this summer and into fall.
