, 6’3″, PF/C, Riverside, KC Royalty 2024 – It has taken awhile for Weishaar to emerge in a difficult league filled with teams that routinely contend for not just a 3A state tournament birth but also have legitimate shots at winning the championship. And by earning first team all Big 7 League honors this past season, she is showing she is headed in the right direction. I became aware of Weishaar early into her freshman year. And those observers whom I knew were aware of her thought as I did, that she had the potential to be a standout. After watching a game of hers online this past winter, I was pleased to see strong skill development and offensive assertiveness. My colleague Brady Peterson reported in early May that “You won’t find many 6-foot-3 kids as athletic as Wieshaar. She moves like a guard and has a ton of skill. I saw her attack from the perimeter a few times, take some jumpers with confidence, and make plays on the defensive end. If colleges aren’t watching her, I’d have no idea why. She’ll get better over the next few years, and I’m excited to see what kind of player she’ll be as a senior.” At the same PGH Legacy Classic Event my colleague David Gardner said she was one of his favorite players to watch and that with “development with ball handling and creating from the perimeter, she could be like a female Kevin Durant!” Her fluidity and strength have grown almost as much as her length. Her interior quickness is serious and can make multiple plays with the ball including canning mid-range and three point shots.

, 5’8″, CG/SF, Wichita County, Magic Basketball 2024 – In his PGH Rocky Mountain Mayhem Pt. 2 article Matthew Martinez reported how Ricke can score in multiple ways. He said she “…can shoot the 3 ball, drive into the lane and finish at the rim with “tear drop” floaters as well.” I like her solid perimeter release and am looking to see improvement in her three point shooting percentage. Ricke earned second team Hi-Plains League this past season while leading her team in scoring and steals. She was also the team’s second leading rebounder.
Cyrenity Hardy Cyrenity Hardy 5'8" | CG Lawrence | 2024 State KS , 5’8″, Lawrence, KC Royalty 2023 – PGH Top 250 October 2021 Lawrence – I am looking forward to seeing how “Tank” has grown her game. I last saw her at the PGH Top 250 Expo in October of 2021. Hardy gets out in transition, fills the lanes well, and does so with good speed. She has good length and is a solid off-ball defender. Hardy also has strength to rip the ball away from basket attackers.
5’6″ Rian Rodriguez of Holcomb and 5’9″ Kinzie Lohman-Fuller of Lakin are a pair of Magic Basketball 2024 players I have seen a glimpse of but do not know enough about. I look forward to seeing them play this weekend. This is a team that has been improving substantially since early April at a MAYB tournament in Wichita and anticipate they have greatly grown their games.
