Kylie Marshall Kylie Marshall 5'9" | CG Mansfield Lake Ridge | 2023 State TX -5’11 SG (Team Lex Nation 17U 3SSB) 2023
Marshall gave a new twist to Martial Law because she was just dominant in every aspect all through the event. First of all, she’s long and athletic and her playing the passing lane as well as blocking shots using excellent timing are just a few of the reasons I was overly impressed. Her jumper, mid to long-range was clicking, as well as her acrobatic finishes
Tobi Ademuwagun Tobi Ademuwagun 5'11" | PF The Village School | 2023 State TX -5’11 SG (THS Team Spaz 17U) 2023
Ademuwagun was on the “cheat sheet” I sent out prior to the event and if you felt cheated you didn’t know about her, well you don’t read what I say because over 2 years ago I said she was one of the most underrated players in Texas and her proving me right, yet again should speak volumes but her “work ethic” is second to none. Yes she can step out and shoot the mid to long range, as well as score off the dribble but her BATTLING for everything off the rim and finishing powerfully after contact against taller players had her receive even more offers after the event
Janiah Perkins Janiah Perkins 5'3" | PG Highlands | 2023 State TX -5’7 CG (Texas Flight Elite 17U)
Perkins smoothly sets defenders up to either attach the rim or drop the jumper. Off the dribble, she finishes with contact and her jumper, mid to long range is more than solid yet her court vision coupled with basketball IQ puts her on yet another level as she makes those around her better
Taleiyah Gibbs-6’0 SF (HoopShop 17U National) 2023
Gibbs, the other one. may not be on NCIS yet with a roster finally for her team, she made the list. She’s long and athletic and scored from the wing, as well as around the basket however her defense, both interior as well as on the ball, baseline to baseline, stood out. She rebounded on both ends, ran the floor, and played the passing lane
Kastyn Young- 6’1 SG (SA Hoops Elite Gold JK) 2023
Young with the sweet jumper continues to show I hadn’t been seeing a mirage and she is one of those players who will be listed on the Top 100 update for her class. She creates her shot, elevates over the defender, and drops it mid to long-range, with a hand in her face. She also scores off the dribble but her defense is not to be ignored, she also has good timing to block, alter and (or) deflect shots
Ashna Tambe Ashna Tambe 5'7" | CG Hockaday | 2024 State TX -5’7 PG (Team Lex Prime 16U 3SSB) 2024
Tambe was also on the “cheat sheet” I sent out and her clutch performances were huge in helping her team win their division. I don’t say things just to say them, I am a real evaluator and I saw something special in her 3 years ago but her “poise under pressure” is second to none. She’s heady, plays within herself, and understands the “make those around you better” statement I frequently use. Her jumper is smooth, mid to long-range, and she sees the floor through a microscope not to leave out she defends well
Grace Leverton Grace Leverton 5'4" | PG Trinity Christian Academy | 2024 State TX -5’5 PG (Texas Elite White Elite Leverton) 2024
Leverton gave me a good look at her game, I hadn’t really caught her over the past couple of seasons but I remembered she could shoot the long ball. Fast forward to now, she can really shoot the long ball, and watching her create her shot under pressure was nice, so was her wanting to take the shot under pressure, down the stretch but she also scored well off the dribble
Sydnee Jones-5’4 PG (Prodigy 16U National) 2025
Jones continues to surprise me as her game keeps elevating. I caught her playing for her high school during a holiday tournament and was impressed with her jump yet I’m even more impressed after seeing her performance in the Super 64, one more time, “it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against” so her scoring off the dribble and with the pull-up was nice, so was her “playing the passing lane”
Jasmine Gipson-5’9 SG ( TE Lady Jets 16U 3SSB) 2025
Gipson needs no notes, her game is embedded in my memory which is a round a petabyte regarding evaluating talent. She’s not only “long and athletic” but “strong and athletic” and her being able to play multiple positions is huge. She sees the floor and handles the ball under pressure, she can drop the mid to long-range and her “on the ball” as well as “interior defense” is solid, and so is her rebounding on both ends of the court, she too will be added to the Top 100
