Couch is an excellent offensive threat, but she really contributed in every way possible. Plays great defense and is really solid rebounder, can score in so many different ways, great hands, great moves down low, and simply tough. Plays through contact and isn’t afraid of physicality. I didn’t see any consistent weakness in her game all throughout the weekend.

Couch recently surpassed the 1,000 point mark and has really been strong all-around in the first half of her junior season. She is a unique player as she really has a ton of guard and post skills within her game. She can knock down deep or mid-range shots, she makes great drives to the basket, and she can post you up inside. You can guard Couch well and she can still find ways to put the ball in the basket. If you double-team her, she makes great passes to her teammates. Couch is also a phenomenal shot blocker and strong rebounder. She is averaging 14.6 PPG and 5.3 RPG.

Couch is a reliable and versatile player. She can handle physicality like it’s nothing. She has good length and she is a solid shot blocker defensively. Offensively, she takes great shots and can finish with contact. She does a great job finishing around the basket and she actually shot 51.2% overall last season. Couch averaged 12.8 ppg and 5.7 rpg as a sophomore and is expected to increase those numbers even more this season.

Couch was doing a little bit of everything on Saturday. She was playing hard defensively and she was making stuff happen offensively. She made some excellent moves around the basket and was consistently able to score on her defenders. Couch was also knocking down shots. She showed that she has good strength and plays hard every minute she’s on the floor.
