The Tigers’ floor general had a nice all-around performance against the Lady Panthers.

put up 7 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 steals. She ravaged the Cabot offense, stripping ball-handlers with ease and poking away passes. There was not a loose ball that Brown was not on top of.
With as many times as Brown ran out on the fastbreak, she was bound to find herself in a position to score. She finished at the rim when she had the chance, even logging an and-one in transition. Brown also passed well, especially in the half court. Of course, that is not much of a surprise, but she threaded the needle nicely against Cabot.

continues to have games where she takes over on the defensive end. Several colleges have already offered the senior point guard and they will be pleased with her two-way production this season.

was the other double-digit scorer for Central. She was consistently solid on the defensive end throughout the game, but her best work on offense came in the second half.
I mentioned that Brown was one of the Central players who scored an and-one in the middle of the fourth, and she ended up making more free throws, finishing 4/5. Brown’s evening total was 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.
The point guard also did an incredible job breaking past the NLR press and facilitating the offense.

does not make many mistakes, but she also showed some versatile scoring ability, squeaking her way through and knocking down some nice shots in the lane.

was last night’s star. She went on an individual 4-0 run at the beginning of the game, and she did not let up.
Brown’s performance against Southwest was the best game she has had in conference play this year. She scored 14 points on 6/7 shooting from the field, as well as going 2/2 from the line. Brown added 4 assists and 3 steals to her total.
Brown was often the first one down the court on the fastbreak, either receiving a pass or attempting to score off her own steal. She terrorized the Gryphon defenders, and most of her points were off easy layups. She did hit a pull-up mid-range jumper after dribbling past the first line of Southwest defenders.

was fantastic all game long. She kept up her consistent play for all four quarters, and I imagine she will carry over her great play into Friday’s contest against Jonesboro.

was coming off a productive game against Bryant on Tuesday, and she followed that game up with another solid performance.
Brown posted 8 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists, and 4 steals. All 8 points came on the fastbreak, including her made mid-range shot. 2 field goals came from her steals, and she was disruptive all night long.
As soon as a pass hung in the air too long or the opposition was handling the ball too high, Brown was on top of it, racing down the court for transition points. Though Central struggled to shoot at times, she still facilitated the ball well.

is one of the best pure floor generals in the conference. She knows how to direct an offense, and every college needs a player who can facilitate the way she can.

had one of her best all-around games as a member of the Tigers last night. She was in control throughout the night, making solid plays for others, all while wreaking havoc and devastation on the opposition.
Brown scored 9 points to go along with 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals. She looked like a true floor general against the Hornet defense. She handled the ball through traffic, showing off some nice moves several times, then throwing a quick pass to an open teammate after drawing the double. Her passing was accurate, but she was the main reason why Bryant had that fourth quarter collapse.
Brown was sneaky on defense. When the Hornets would throw a pass, they did so with a false sense of security. It looked like they had an open teammate, but all of a sudden, Brown would appear out of nowhere and intercept the pass. She would then take it the other way, and if the opportunity presented itself, she would look to score. She finished through some difficult defensive pressure, drawing contact in the process.

is in her first year with the Lady Tigers, but she has already made a large impact on her new squad. She is not a go-to scorer, but she does not have to be in order to find ways to help this team win.
Brown put up 8 points, 3 rebounds (2 offensive rebounds), 2 assists, and 1 steal. She was aggressive on the defensive end, guarding Vilonia’s best ball-handlers all 84 feet. Her offensive play was also effective throughout the game.
Brown’s 8 points all came from the free throw line or in the paint. She could not find her mark from three, so she did not force the issue and drove hard to the paint, scoring two heavily contested layups. She also had to contort her body just to be able to protect the ball and prevent it from getting blocked on the way up. When Brown was fouled late in the game, she connected on all four free throws in very important moments of the game.

is the team’s primary ball-handler, and she is usually a pass-first point guard. When some of her teammates cannot get their shots to fall like last night, Brown can take it upon herself to make winning plays in the scoring column. The Lady Tigers will need Brown’s positive impact all year long if they want to be able to go back to the 6A title game.

Rei-Brown was acting like that hit song from that guy with her surname “I Feel Good” and she put together a very impressive few minutes that helped change the momentum and put their game out of reach. Her “on the ball” defense, her scoring off the dribble as well as her dropping the 3 ball, ala “catch and shoot” JUST DID IT for me

Rei-Brown gave me a bunch yet her falling into that #sizedontmatter hashtag group made what she was doing even more impressive. She did a good job defending “on the ball” but her quick hands picked some pockets as she hit teammates after the steal or attacked the basket and finishes, she did a that in the set as well
