is like a coach on the floor, and her calm demeanor keeps a team full of predominantly sophomores loose on the floor in crunch time. Young doesn’t get high after a great play and doesn’t fall apart in pressured moments. Young can knock down the three and does a good job of filling the gaps to get clean looks. She doesn’t always fill the stat sheets in multiple categories, but if unflappable were a category, Young, the veteran, would be listed.

Young played the tournament like a true floor general. She handled the ball with confidence, kept her team organized, and balanced scoring with leadership. When possessions tightened, she remained composed — delivering timely three-pointers and managing pace without forcing tempo. At one point Young connected on back to back threes. Her presence steadied her team. She communicated, handled pressure, and made the right reads. Young is the lone Senior on her team and sets the tone for her young teammates.

delivered in high-pressure moments for her squad. The senior served as the primary ball handler in crunch time, knocked down perimeter shots, and continued to score effectively in transition, often with a smooth pull-up. Her composure and leadership were evident as she guided a young, sophomore-heavy roster through tough matchups.

(PG, Orange Park)Steady, composed, and unselfish — Young embodies the modern floor general. She handles pressure, distributes efficiently, and can score at all three levels. Capable of running the point or sliding to the shooting guard spot, she’s a versatile contributor who keeps her team organized and energized. Young is also a leader on the defensive end. She keeps her team engaged on both ends of the floor. She likes the run and gun style, but also holds her teammates accountable on the defensive end of the floor.

was another surprise who delivered steady poise and production at the Expo. Known as a leader and setup guard for her talented young team in Orange Park, she showcased her scoring instincts- especially in transition. Her decision-making with the ball in her hands, and knocking down confident midrange jumpers stood out. Young’s court vision was strong, but it was her leadership presence and versatility that truly stood out. She played without the ball in her hand at times, but helped keep her team organized and brought veteran leadership to the floor. Young reminded everyone that leadership and competitiveness are two of her strongest traits. Coaches were watching as the young guard played well- on and off the ball.

played well at the Expo, showing poise and maturity at the guard position. A senior leader for her high school team, she adapted smoothly to playing off the ball while still finding ways to impact the game. Young spaced the floor effectively and displayed a confident shooting touch from the outside. Her mid-range game was consistent — particularly in transition, where she showed the ability to stop on a dime and knock down pull-ups. When she did take the reins at point guard, she pushed the tempo, initiated the offense, and created scoring chances for herself and teammates. Young’s mix of composure, scoring ability, and leadership made her a steady, reliable presence throughout the event.

enters her final season with the role of team leader. The senior guard blends outside shooting and defensive grit with the poise of someone who has been through big-game moments. Her ability to keep teammates composed and connected will be as valuable as her production on the stat sheet.

is the lone senior presence among a wave of 7–8 sophomores, Young is the steady voice and leader this young team will lean on. She can shoot it, defend multiple positions, and serve as an on-floor coach who makes sure the group stays composed in big moments. Young didn’t always embrace this role, but it was inevitable. This season, Young is poised to put her team on her back and lead them with more confidence. This season will be a breakout season for the Senior guard and she could be the bus driver that leads this squad deep into the high school playoffs.
