Top 2027 Prospects in Kentucky (Part 4)

She has excellent skills and she's a 3 level scorer. Adkins is so good at getting to the basket and finishing on both sides of the rim. She uses her off-hand so well and always keeps the defense guessing. She is such a smart player, constantly hesitating and changing speeds to get past her defender or to weave through multiple defenders. Adkins recognizes and delivers great passes to her teammates also. Lafayette graduated multiple key players, including their leading scorer and rebounder (17.4 ppg/9.2 rpg last season). They have some really talented players that will step up to fill some of those voids, but Flynn has the potential to be a solid role player for them this season. She can knock down shots from anywhere on the floor and she can handle the ball well. She really plays with a lot more poise and control than you typically see from young players. When she gets the ball, she puts it in a strong triple threat position before making her next move. She can drive to the basket or knock down shots. Messer has good form on her shot as well. She hustles and goes after 50/50 balls, she crashes the boards hard, and she runs the floor with a purpose. Holcomb can finish through floaters, layups, and pull-up jumpers. I mean, she already is, but her competitive edge is going to help her be really successful in the future as well. She is a versatile and smart player. Last season, Blanton played limited minutes for South Laurel's Varsity team and she took full advantage of those opportunities as they presented themselves, shooting 58.3% overall on the season. She can be effective playing inside or outside of the perimeter, and she has good ball handling skills. Despite not even hitting 5 feet tall yet, she plays with zero fear and has a really high IQ. Ginn can handle the ball well and she makes quick, crisp moves when the ball is in her hands. Her passing and floor vision are also impressive. She can knock down shots or get into the paint to set her teammates up for easy baskets. Ginn plays so hard and she will give all the defensive intensity that you could want. She can really be disruptive as a defender. She uses her long arms to come up with deflections and steals. The lefty makes good drives to get into the paint and to the rim. She can finish with a defender on her side as well. She consistently does small stuff that doesn't always get recognition, like constantly moving and cutting when she doesn't have the ball. She puts herself in really good positions and when her teammates get her the ball, she can knock down shots or finish at the rim. McElwain has a really quick release that helps prevent the defense from being able to block her shots. She can defend really well also.
