Top 6A Teams in the State Part 2

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As we conclude our look at projected top teams in Oregon, we take a look at an intriguing list of teams. Benson is a tough team with a lot of attitude and toughness whereas South Medford is a team that plays with immense pace and urgency on both ends of the floor. Jefferson is an up and coming team who play with a lot of style and grace whereas Sheldon is a talented squad outlined by their super sophomore. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Benson </strong>- the Techsters are led by Eric Knox, who is a great motivator on the court for his team.  Benson has had a history of knocking off huge teams, including their 2019 state championship run over Southridge.  They are led by seniors [player_tooltip player_id='158559' first='Malaya' last='LeSueur'] and Elioanna "Onna" Brown who recently signed with Division 1 programs.  LeSueur is the slick scoring guard whereas Brown is a rugged force on the court.  [player_tooltip player_id='255260' first='Mauriana' last='Hashemian-Orr'] and [player_tooltip player_id='255256' first='Mahogany' last='Chandler-Roberts'] are two juniors with significant experience.  Add freshman sensation [player_tooltip player_id='832599' first='Samarah' last='Massey'] in the mix and you have one formidable team.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>South Medford</strong> - the Panthers are a historied girls basketball program led by Tom Cole, who has led them to the Chiles Center numerous times during his tenure.  The front and center of their team is [player_tooltip player_id='158543' first='Donovyn' last='Hunter'], a highly skilled combo guard who plays with enormous passion on both ends of the floor.  [player_tooltip player_id='256231' first='Kimberly' last='Ceron'] looks to have a huge season in the paint as an athletic scorer who makes a difference.  [player_tooltip player_id='251703' first='Kendall' last='Fealey'] is another big piece of the puzzle for the Panthers as well as Tatum Schmerbach.  The Panthers play an in your face full court trap and then continue the momentum on the other end of the court.     </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Jefferson</strong> - the Democrats were amongst surprising teams last season, with a nucleus of talented young freshmen.  They kept it close last year against Benson Tech three times as well as a close match-up with Barlow.  Now, these Demos are a year older with more experience under their belt.  Their talent group includes [player_tooltip player_id='502343' first='Abrianna' last='Lawrence'], [player_tooltip player_id='502348' first='Charisma' last='Johnson'], [player_tooltip player_id='502349' first='Chauncey' last='Andersen'], and [player_tooltip player_id='502346' first='Brooklyn' last='Chatman'].  Abrianna and Charisma are both talented guards with different aspects to their games.  Chauncey is the tough rugged forward and Brooklyn is another talented scoring guard.  Look for them to make a splash this season.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Sheldon</strong> - the Irish have had several good teams within the last few years and this year is no exception.  One of their main players this season looks to be [player_tooltip player_id='833376' first='Diamond' last='Wright'], who made First Team All South West Conference last season.  Wright is an athletic hybrid forward who uses her length exceptionally well all over the floor.  [player_tooltip player_id='158550' first='Beaux' last='Bruegman'] is a talented and keen forward who knows how to snag rebound and score inside.  Tori Line is a playmaker point guard for the Irish and Jaidyn Sprouse is a talented volleyball player who looks to make strides at the forward position.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
