Durley continues to show the mid-range game is not a lost art. Hits free throw line jumpers like they’re layups. Either pull ups when the defender’s get on their heels or can hit tough contested looks. Was a bit wild at times in the first with some of her decision making but settled down throughout the game, while also keeping a breakneck pace to push the tempo off turnovers and defensive rebounds.

The now Edmond North Lady Husky has picked up offers from across the nation with Cleveland State, UT San Antonio and UNC Wilmington among her new offers. Durley is a proficient scoring, who lives in the mid-range as a top shot maker. She’s capable of shaking and baking to create her own shot. Or playing off the ball and using smart ball movements to find openings. Durley is another Oklahoman who proved her game can translate to the national level and is set for a huge senior season.

Skylar has transferred to 6a powerhouse Edmond North. The 5’9 Combo guard transfers in from Classen SAS where she reached 1.000 points in her 3 years at the varsity level. Skylar play should be a great fit in Emond North style of play. North has had some great small forwards come out of the program last few years and she will continue that tradition. A versatile player that can score in the low post or from the outside. An transfer that could have the Lady Huskies back in the hunt for the Gold Ball.
Skylar has received D1 offers but is still uncommitted at the time

Durley is a player I had ben seeing come across my time line yet I hadn’t seen in person yet in this era, the chatter in the background isn’t always what it seems however she put on one of the best midrange shooting performances I have seen since Takia Starks, class of 2005, GOOGLE her. Durley smoothly sets the defender up however she wants and watching her “elevate and drop” over the outstretched arms of taller players, JUST DID IT for me

Skylar showcase her skill set Friday. She knocked down the corner 3′ on the drive and kick. Got downhill on the drive and finished at the rim with some nice footwork. The move that gets your jaw dropping is the post turn around shot. Friday she had all 3 working and when that happening she is darn near unstoppable.
Ranked among the best in the Nation and having an amazing summer it is easy to see why D1 schools are calling.

Skylar is having a very strong summer and her recruiting picked up strong after the first Live Period receiving offers from top programs around the country. A combo guard that can knock down the 3 with deep range. Impressive to me when watching Skylar play is her mid range game. She does an excellent job attacking the gaps finishing with a layup or a pull jumper with a high release. Excellent defender that can cover 94 feet but yet can get physical inside if needed.

A combo guard that could play almost any position on the floor, Game I watched she played PG and score in many ways. Showed a very smooth pull up jump shot in transition. Strong rebounder for a PG and did not need an outlet to start the break. Aggressive finisher on the drives absorbing the contact for the finish. Ranked among the top players in Oklahoma with D1 offers.

Since the first time I saw Skylar play, I’ve been telling people that she is a Division-I prospect and that reflects in her ranking within the junior class at No. 10 overall. She is a phenomenal player who seriously does it all. She is an absolute dawg on defense and does not give anyone a chance to breath out there. On top of that, her midrange is deadly, which opens up so many other great things about her game. She has the option to drive past nervous defenders or she can dish the ball where she has shown very good vision. Clearly she can score, with 1,000 points in her junior season. The sky is the limit for Skylar… pun intended.

Durley is a do everything guard for the Lady Comets. After her team’s slow start she led the rally by living in the mid-range. She loves simple but effective 1-2 dribble pull ups to get into the 10-15 foot range. And also has a solid crossover that allowed her to pressure the defense as well. The junior guard scored a game high 24 points and also recorded a team high 10 rebounds. She’ll need to clean up her turnovers, but with her mid-range scoring ability and overall competitiveness, she’s a game changer on both ends of the court.

It was Team Trae Young tryouts, so there was a good bit of D-1 level players in attendance. Still, Skylar stood out. Last season she was her conference’s player of the year for Classen SAS and already holds two D-1 offers. With the body control and ability to change speeds that showed on Sunday, I’d say that this 2025 is going to be a high D-1 level player before all is said and done. In an atmosphere where everyone is giving their absolute all, it takes a special kind of player to stand out even more. Durley is a star in showcase situations, in high school and club games, and will be at the D-1 college level. You can bank on it.
