Samyha Suffren is already playing at college speed whipping her passes into her teammates after drawing defenders towards her. She elevates over opponents to put up her shot. She was losing her defenders left and right, but she also did all the small things like hustling after rebounds on both ends of the court. She’s a high impact player coming right in from her breaks on the bench making immediate plays to go on some scoring runs for her team.
Nadiya Hairston does a nice job opening up the court for her teammates penetrating the paint and finding her open teammates. She does well filling the lanes on fast breaks whether she is getting the pass up the court or being ready to catch it and score. She stripped the ball from her opponents and took it all the way to the other end for her own bucket.
Kamora Cannie knocked down her shot from deep. She was a tough defender stripping the ball away from guards at the top of the key and pushing it up the court. She sneaks into position on defense to knock the ball away. She did a nice job seeing the floor, filling the lanes, and drawing defenders to her, so she could kick it out to her teammate. She stripped the ball and scored quickly off the steal on the other end. She did a nice job increasing the tempo in the second half pushing the ball up the court with her speed.
Amiaya Hall had a nice crossover move getting low to get around her defender and pull up for her jumper. She had a solo drive from half court taking the ball in the paint, getting in a spin cycle, and shooting through contact for a three point play. She showed hustle getting back on defense to block a shot in transition. She had some nice offensive rebounds putting them back up for two points.
Aleysha Hill has certainly had a strong start this season with her shooting from beyond the arc. She sees the floor well moving to the open areas for a catch and shoot bucket, and she can shoot well off the dribble creating space between her and her defender. She has a nice jab step that she uses to get by her opponents, and she knows when to take it to the hoop or use a jump stop to score some points at the rim. She’s a tenacious defender knocking the ball away from her opponents, and her speed allows her to increase the tempo taking it the other direction.
