Tara has had a memorable career at DeWitt and is one of those high school prospects who many colleges would love to have on their team. Her gritty, aggressive defense and hard-nosed drives to the rim are fun to watch. Tara passed 1,165 career points to become DeWitt’s all-time leading scorer, breaking a record that stood for 46 years. She has been an integral part once again this season for the CAAC-Blue champs. Tara will be attending MSU as a student following graduation.

Kurncz really stepped up this high school season and showed that she has an elite game. I was very impressed with the way she shot the ball and scored this year. She has fast and fluid movement, and in my opinion, pretty underrated overall athleticism. Kurncz looks like she’s ready to have a huge high school basketball career.
