The 5-11 sophomore forward was a walking bucket in the semifinal game against Lake Gibson, scoring a game-high 27 points on 13-of-19 shooting from the field. Her aggressiveness towards the rim was the focal point and going against multiple defenders didn’t seem to phase McFadden much. In the championship game, McFadden finished with 15 points and 9 rebounds leading the Lady Raiders to their third consecutive state title. Her size and length created second chance opportunities on the offensive end.
The East Carolina University signee was the leading scorer in the championship game finishing with 20 points, despite struggling from the field shooting just 5-for-17. However, her attack for the basket was outstanding and got to the free throw line knocking down all eight of her attempts. She scores in a variety of ways whether it’s in transition or hunting the paint.
The University of Wisconsin signee put her team on her back in both the semifinals and championship games. Jimenez finished with a game-high 21 points in the semifinal followed by 23 in the championship game versus St. Thomas Aquinas. Jimenez displayed her craftiness and finished around the rim and played like an MVP.
In the semifinal game against Oakleaf, Iorfida got to the free throw line on numerous occasions going 12-of-17. The 5-9 senior shooting guard scored 22 points, followed by scoring just 13 points on 2-of-3 from beyond the arc in the championship game.
Despite the loss in the semifinal, James scored a game-high 26 points on 8-of-22 shooting and 4-of-12 from beyond the arc. James was attacking the basket and scoring against multiple defenders. James also displayed an inside-out game which caused havoc in the first half for Charlotte. James is committed to play college basketball at Florida International University.
