The 2022-23 High School season has concluded and the 2023 travel season is in full effect. Coming off of the first live evaluation period in April, the spring offers are piling up for many of Florida’s top prospects. Let’s take a look who has picked up offers.
Class of 2023
Yakiya Milton Yakiya Milton 6'4" | PF Mandarin | 2024 FL (Mandarin / South East United Clarke) 6’4 Wing
Offers: Jacksonville, Auburn, Memphis
Milton is one of the state’s most intriguing prospects as she is a 6’4 wing that is an unsigned senior. She averaged 10.3 points, and 9.5 rebounds a game this season for Mandarin High school while shooting 41% from the field. She picked up 3 offers the past two weeks from Auburn University in the SEC and Jacksonville University and University of Memphis, who both have new head coaches since the season ended. Milton length and versatility is undeniable. How will it cross over to the college game and does her potential meet her overall production eventually? Only time will tell and we will follow where Milton lands!

Vivian Iwuchukwu Vivian Iwuchukwu 6'3" | SF Montverde Academy | 2024 State FL (Montverde Academy) 6’2 Forward
Offers: Arizona, Jacksonville, Providence, University of Florida, Oregon, Oklahoma, Syracuse, Cal, Harvard, Virginia, Michigan, Northwestern, Kansas State, Iowa State, Texas A&M, Kansas, Mississippi State, UCF, Arkansas, Clemson, Kentucky, LMU, Columbia University, Florida State, Georgia, Auburn
Iwuchukwu added to the long list of offers of the who’s who of college basketball here in April picking up 10+ more offers. The 6’2 forward is one of the country’s most elite athletes that has big time hops, runs the floor, and is extremely active and bouncy! She comes off back-to-back national championships with Montverde Academy and enters next season as Montverde’s top returning player. She is a highly coveted prospect for good reason and she is makes her presence known on the court and has a huge upside!
Eris Lester Eris Lester 5'10" | SF Montverde Academy | 2024 State FL (Orange Park / Miami Suns) 5’9 Guard
Offers: USF, East Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi State, Cincinnati, Ohio State, Miami, Davidson
Lester picks up several offers after a strong showing at the Boo Williams EYBL stop last weekend to add to a list of several existing offers. Bursting onto the scene last year, Lester is one of the countries most athletic and dynamic backcourt players who finished third in scoring last weekend in the 17U EYBL circuit averaging 18 points per game.
Lena Girardi Lena Girardi 5'10" | SF IMG Academy | 2025 State FL (Westminster Academy / FGB) 5’9 Guard
Offers: Auburn, Michigan, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, USF, Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio State, St Johns
Girardi has suited up for FGB this travel season after spending the past few travel seasons with the Comets out of Pennsylvania. The 5’9 guard is one of the country’s most productive offensive players using her unique combination of size, strength, and skill to put pressure on opposing teams’ defenses and constantly getting into the paint and scoring at the rim or getting to the free throw line. The big guard does an excellent job absorbing contact and getting into the teeth of opposing defenses creating shots for herself as well as for her teammates.
Jada Eads Jada Eads 5'6" | PG Lake Highland Prep | 2024 State FL (Lake Highland Prep / Central Florida Elite) 5’6 Guard
Offers: Cincinnati, Jacksonville, James Madison, Austin Peay, George Mason
Eads is quick, explosive scoring guard who can drop buckets in a hurry and a variety of ways. With crafty 1v1 open court moves, excellent handle, and deep 3-point range, Eads is a threat anywhere over half court with the ball in her hands. After a solid showing for Central Florida Elite in April as a follow up to a stellar high school season with Lake Highland Prep, Eads grabbed several new offers to go along with several she already had. Don’t let Eads small stature fool you as she is a menace on opposing defenses!
Beckham Hockley Beckham Hockley 5'7" | PG Sickles | 2024 State FL (Sickles / East Coast United) 5’8 Guard
Offers: Saginaw Valley State University
Hockley picks up her first offer from SVSU. With Assistant Coach Rob McDonald very familiar with Florida McDonald and SVSU extend the offer to Hockley after a solid April showing with East Coast United. Hockley had an impressive season with Sickles this past high school season, displaying her ability to be a scoring point guard, handling the rock vs pressure, while also finding scoring opportunities both for herself and for her teammates. A steady, high IQ, combo guard, Hockley plays with confidence and determination, doing anything she can to help lead her team to victory!

Olivia Olson Olivia Olson 5'10" | SF Mainland | 2025 State FL (Spruce Creek / Central Florida Elite) 5’9 Guard
Offers: South Alabama, Mount St Mary’s
Olson is another big, scoring combo guard coming out of the sunshine state that is a capable ball handler, who handles well vs pressure while also being a scoring threat. She plays with extreme confidence with the ball in her hands and is excellent out of ball screens. With a big, strong, solid build, Olson can advance the ball up the court with the pass, seeing over the top of defenses by utilizing her height and court vision, while also being able to attack off the bounce and get by her defenders.
