The sophomore Brown is establishing herself on a leader on what is a young Keenan team that has shown plenty of promise in 2023-24. Brown’s Raiders were involved in one of the more entertaining matchups of Saturday’s play which resulted in a 48-44 victory for the 2A assembling from the Midlands. Brown tallied 14 points en route to the win. Versatility is a central element to Brown’s game with her ability to play either of the guard spots in the backcourt or as a three in the frontcourt. While Brown did much of her damage in the first half, her second half points were vital in the Raiders’ win with her ability to draw contact and convert at the free throw line.

Coach Reggie McLain’s team at 2A Keenan displayed signs that the 2023-24 rendition of the Raiders may be better than advertised. Brown finished her time at this year’s She Got Next Thanksgiving Tournament by leading Keenan to a victory over another 2A team in Timberland. Brown tallied 18 points in the victory. She particularly had plenty of success with the 3-point shot as she drained four from behind the 3-point line. Out of the 18 points she put on the scoreboard, 14 of those were scored in the first half and 11 of them came in the first quarter alone. Keenan not only defeated Timberland but only lost to a tough A.C. Flora bunch by two. The Raiders had themselves a productive weekend at White Knoll HS.

Brown will have a new look Raiders team this season at Keenan HS without Milaysia Fulwiley. Kristin will have to step-up her game from the mid-range and play in attack mode more this year. Kristin runs on the Grassroots Circuit with SC Future 2026.
