In this article, we look at more players from the Sunshine State who had good showings in front of college coaches at Carolina Jamfest.
Nacoya Blocton Nacoya Blocton 6’0″ | PF Ridgeview | 2025 State FL shot it well and at times seemed to score at will on the inside. Blocton does a good job of scoring on the inside and can score with the left or the right hand. She can overpower small forwards and guards and has the combination of quickness and power to matchup with 4s and 5s. Blocton does a good job of playing in the transition game and can take it Coast to Coast after a rebound.

Nia Blocton Nia Blocton 6’0″ | PF Ridgeview | 2024 State FL was a standout and a workhorse in the middle at the Carolina Jamfest. Blocton has the ability to track the ball for the rebound and does this better than a most. She is a offensive rebounding machine and creates a lot of additional shots for her team, extending possessions, and getting cutbacks. She has great hands and strength and plays well in press break and in the offensive sets. She has very good dribbling abilities for a big and can take a big off the dribble and get to the rim. Offensively, she has a good pull up jumper in the paint. And has the ability to over power anyone who guards her. All of these skills were on display and Blocton was one of the most dominant players in the building.
Highlights
Jolena Gardner Jolena Gardner 6’0″ | SF Columbia | 2025 State FL stood out on Day 1. She showed that she is a multi skilled player with an athletic forward build who can play the three and four positions. Gardner was relentless on the boards and led the break several times after seccuring the rebound. Once out in transition Gardner has guard like skills and can get to the rim. She can also lead the break and is a good passer on the break. She has great speed and good court vision. On the offensive end, Garber was shooting threes and scoring on the inside and putbacks. She is a very good rebounder with great jumping ability and strong hands. She had one rebound that she tracked and snagged from behind her head.
Kiyana Hunter Kiyana Hunter 5’3″ | PG Mandarin | 2024 State FL was a standout on defense for the tournament and did a good playing the shooting guard and point guard positions. Defensively, her on-ball skills were good and she utilized her quick hands to get some steals and deflections that led to turnovers. Offensively, Hunter showed the ability to shoot from behind the arc and also got to the rim for some nice layups and assists. She does a good job of driving and kicking to the open shooter.

Azjannie Culberth Azjannie Culberth SF Tampa Bay Tech | 2024 State FL was impressive on Day one and Day two. She has great length and is used at the top of the key to disrupt offenses with her length and quickness. Offensively she was impressive with the ability to get to the rim on a straightline drive or using a euro step to get to the rim. Culberth also connected on several 3 pointers over the first two days. She does a good job of crashing the boards and has the ability to rebound and advance the ball up the court and go coast to coast.
