The 17U pool was stocked with high caliber players from several states. Take a look at several who stood out at the Sunflower Showdown, the final [program_tooltip program_id='716194' first='[program_tooltip program_id='714510' first='[program_tooltip program_id='713097' first='[program_tooltip program_id='716194' first='[program_tooltip program_id='714510' first='[program_tooltip program_id='713097' first='Dynasty' last='']' last='']' last='']' last='']' last='']' last=''] Circuit stop.

[player_tooltip player_id='645079' first='Grace' last='Frazier'], 5'3", PG, Diamond (MO), 2024, MO Legacy, 2024 - Frazier is very, very quick and handles the ball with strength and confidence. The ringleader of the Missouri Legacy Frazier worked in space and tight situations well, created well for herself and her teammates, and showed toughness on her finishes with extension. Flat gets down the floor in a hurry off turnovers.

[player_tooltip player_id='624959' first='Mackenzie' last='Griffin'], 5'7", PG, Vista Peak Prep (CO), 2024, Lady RoughRiders 2024 - Griffin showed very good quickness on both ends of the floor but what really caught my eye was how well she kept her head up while being pressured. Including against other top defenders in a variety of half- and full-court situations Griffin was not often sped up or distracted from where she wanted to go with the ball.

Navaeh Lucero, 5'5", PG, Skyview (CO), [program_tooltip program_id='713372' first='Rado' last='Prep'] 2024 - The quick, slightly build Lucero is a high motor player the ability to finish in transition against multiple defenders and the skills to split defenders off the bounce in the half court. She has a terrific wing span to go with her hand speed that she uses to cause turnovers. A player nobody can question about her toughness. She hit the floor repeatedly, usually off basket drives.

[player_tooltip player_id='723402' first='Taylor' last='McCarty'], 5'8", SF, Cheylin (KS), 2027, [program_tooltip program_id='715500' first='Magic' last='Basketball'] 2024 - McCarty will make some serious ripples in the world of Western Kansas 1A Div II girls basketball. Plays with good composure, smarts, and a diverse skill set. Moves smoothly within transition and half court offense and has good size and strength to create a variety of shots out of face-up and back-to-basket situations. Battles and bangs like she has been playing at the high school varsity level for years, doing it against highly experienced and often more athletic match-ups on both ends.

[player_tooltip player_id='222386' first='Savannah' last='Pohl'], 5'11", PF, Longmont (CO) [program_tooltip program_id='712718' first='NOCO' last='Triple Threat'], 2024 - While Pohl is a player still in the middle stages of sharpening her block to mid-range scoring game what she brings to the table is a strong build, physical strength, and the initiative to create a variety of shots within 8 feet of the hole. That is especially the case off the catch on the move and on the block with her back-to-the basket. As she gets more fluid and proficient the stronger she will be as a player. She uses her speed, reach, and strength to disrupt well on transition defense. She showed enough but Pohl is nowhere near as a good as she can potentially be.

Bradie Schlabs, 5'6", CG, East Cheyenne (WY), 2024, [program_tooltip program_id='712718' first='NOCO' last='Triple Threat'], 2024 - What got my attention with Schlabs was her passing. On a team blessed with a solid to strong group of bigs Schlabs made the strong pass against her defenders on the wing or top of the key. She also fade passed well with touch. Schlabs showed solid speed, athleticism, and an ability to work well on the wing on both ends.

[player_tooltip player_id='525631' first='Aubree' last='Showalter'], 5'5", Waurika (OK), 2024, Lady Thunder, 2024 - Among the speediest players with the ball Showalter showed solid decision making and great touch on her lofted passes to where her bigs could get to the ball. Ball skills and quickness off the bounce, she used those with some pop to score with tear-drop shots with a little range from the hoop. Her quickness also made her a solid defensively.
