Taylor was one of the best shooters I’ve seen this summer. She was consistently knocking down the deep ball and hit a couple in transition that were very impressive. Her form is so nice and she got elevation on her jumper too. You can’t give her any space or any time with her quick release and accuracy.

has been covered a lot, and for good reason, and I consider myself lucky to have had the opportunity to see her play live. The Cheylin product and Missouri Phenom standout is a can’t-miss prospect who continues to back up the buzz with high-level performances. Competing on the EYBL circuit this summer, she proved she belongs among the elite, helping her team go toe-to-toe with some of the best in the country. She has a game that is polished, her motor is constant, and her versatility makes her a matchup nightmare. Offers are already starting to float in, and it’s no surprise. Taylor is the type of player who commands attention every time she steps on the court; she produces, she competes, and she wins. The ceiling is high, and the spotlight is only going to get brighter.

is a name most people know; she is a sharp-shooting forward/guard who brings instant offense to the floor in many ways, but with her impressive 41% three-point shooting efficiency, giving her another offensive weapon that defenses have to contain. She has a smooth, repeatable shooting motion and excellent shot discipline, rarely forcing attempts and capitalizing on open looks. McCarty thrives in catch-and-shoot situations and has an excellent feel for relocating on the perimeter to create space. She can stretch the defense, which adds significant value to Cheylin’s offensive flow, often drawing defenders out and making room for teammates to operate. With her consistent perimeter shooting and basketball IQ, McCarty is a key offensive weapon and a player with next-level potential.

Taylor continues to receive an enormous amount of attention and has firmly established herself as one of the top-scoring threats in Western Kansas. With a natural scorer’s mindset and the skills to match, McCarty consistently finds ways to put points on the board regardless of the defense in front of her. Her offensive game is dynamic—she can knock down shots from deep, score off the dribble, and finish through contact in the paint.

Taylor is one of those rare talents we have the pleasure of watching develop right before our eyes. While much can be said about her scoring ability, her passing should not be overlooked. She has a natural knack for getting her teammates involved, effectively taking the scoring pressure off herself. It’s just another standout skill in an already well-rounded game. With two more years of prep basketball ahead of her, McCarty is poised to become one of the top prospects to come out of western Kansas in recent years.

unequivocally established herself as the premier catch-and-shoot three-point threat at the Boo Williams Classic. Her ability to consistently knock down shots from beyond the arc in catch-and-shoot situations was a defining characteristic of her performance throughout the tournament. When the ball found its way into her hands with even a sliver of space, it often felt like an automatic two points for her team.
During the Boo Williams Classic, McCarty demonstrated an exceptional knack for catching fire and going on impressive stretches of three-point shooting. Witnessing her connect on multiple three-pointers in quick succession, from various spots behind the arc, became a common sight. These bursts of long-range accuracy could rapidly shift the momentum of a game, forcing opposing defenses into desperate adjustments and significantly boosting her team’s offensive output.
What made McCarty so effective was her quick release, consistent shooting form, and her ability to find open spaces on the floor. She moved intelligently without the ball, anticipating passes and positioning herself perfectly for catch-and-shoot opportunities. Her confidence in her shot was palpable, and once she found her rhythm, there seemed to be little the defense could do to cool her off. Her dominant performance as a catch-and-shoot specialist at the Boo Williams Classic left no doubt about her status as the circuit’s elite in that particular skill.
