Our rankings update every three months. Prep Girls Hoops Florida scout Ross Van De Griek will be breaking down the top five players in each position for each class. This week we have our focus on the rising juniors.
The 5-9 shooting guard and future Connecticut Huskie does a great job pushing the ball in transition as she can control her speed and play at her own pace. Fisher can score off the bounce, off the catch and finish on the attack as she is showing reasons why she is at the top of the upcoming junior class. Fisher also has limitless range and has one of the best shooting strokes in the upcoming junior class as well. Fisher averaged 21.0 points per game during the UAA circuit playing for her hometown Team Thrill organization.
The 5-8 guard can impact the game in a variety of ways whether it’s on the attack or shooting from beyond the perimeter. Terry plays with a great pace and has a high IQ where she is making the right plays. The rising junior is coming off a big summer playing for Southeast United where she was doing a terrific job rebounding and playing with confidence.
The 5-9 rising junior guard has had a terrific summer playing for East Coast United playing with more confidence and has grown volume to score at all three levels. Knauff plays a mature game and can knock down shots in transition as well as off the catch. She continues to lead a dynamic backcourt that also features rising senior point guard Hilary Englert Hilary Englert 5’10” | SF Bolles | 2024 State FL . Knauff is coming off a sophomore season where she averaged 19.1 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
The 5-10 rising junior wing has one of the smoothest jump shots in the state, as she shot 36 percent from beyond the arc last season for Spruce Creek. Olson has continued to improve from the perimeter this summer as she is starting to play with more confidence and become a viable threat on all three scoring levels. On the defensive end, Olson plays with toughness and physicality consistently jumping into the passing lanes or applying pressure on the point guards. Excited to see the leap Olson makes as her recruitment process will also get started this upcoming season.
The 5-10 rising junior guard is an athletic and long guard who can defend against multiple positions. Her perimeter defense also speaks volumes as she has a quick first step at getting out on the opposing shooters. On the offensive end, Woodard does a great job at finishing and absorbing contact by getting to the free throw line on numerous occasions. She has a great offensive flow from the mid-range as well where she can score off the catch as well as off the bounce. Woodard is super consistent when it comes to her playmaking abilities as she’ll help lead a loaded Lake Highland Prep backcourt this upcoming season.
