Heading into their sophomore seasons, these players caught my eye on the teams I watched at Wittenberg last weekend.

Shari Taylor, 2026 Northmont

What I saw from her that I liked was her aggressiveness and solid defensive pressure she can put on her opponent. With the ball in her hands, she has good court vision and is a solid passer who makes good court decisions.

Aubrey Elkins, 2026 Mount Notre Dame

Simply put, Aubrey impressed with because she can just make plays. Not afraid of contact, will score on you anyway possible. Smooth perimeter threat and will drop the 3 on you. She will be one to keep an eye on in Cincinnati as this sophomore has a good ceiling.

Avery Kollstedt, 2026 Hamilton Badin

Playing in a very strong high school program, Avery should watch her game continue to grow. She showed that she is a good decision maker and does a good job finding her teammates with the ball. Able to play in a physical style. Defends multiple positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='537667' first='Saniyah' last='Hall'], 2026 Laurel

Simply the most talented sophomore in Ohio and one of the best in the country. She has all the tools with great length and an athletic frame that allows her to defend any position on the floor. Runs the floor well, solid footwork and able to score on you from anywhere. She is just at a different level.

[player_tooltip player_id='481383' first='Anna' last='Habra'], 2026 Mason

I loved this kids game as a freshman and she appeared even more poised and mature heading into her sophomore season. That doesn't bode well for her opponents. Anna is a very good floor general, distributes ball to the right person and will just make the play. Outstanding shooter. (feature photo above)

[player_tooltip player_id='481366' first='Tai' last='Mize'], 2026 Tri-Village

This young lady is ready for a big sophomore season as she makes the move to Tri-Village. Tai plays with great intensity and has very sharp point guard skills. Can see the court well and make any play needed. Good vision. Haven't seen her for a little while, really like her overall game.

[player_tooltip player_id='538056' first='Leah' last='Pike'], 2026 Anthony Wayne

Leah does an outstanding job pursuing the ball and is a scrappy nose-to-the-wall player who just gets after it. She has a big gear which enables her to play fast. Love her intensity and knows how to control the floor. Has a bright future in a very good program.

[player_tooltip player_id='481365' first='Addison' last='Godby'], 2026 Proctorville Fairland

Unselfish player who just wants to make her team better. Plays in a high school program that will allow her do just that. She brings a lot of weapons to the game. smooth and makes it look easy. Great focus on making the play, can get through the defense and finish strong.

[player_tooltip player_id='481382' first='Jodine' last='Young'], 2026 Wayne

Jodine has that motor to her that allows her to score in a variety of ways. One thing I liked was her ability to finish the play off the pass, and can make strong moves to the rim. Good footwork and touch. Has showed improvement in the offseason.
