About Saniyah
Expert Analysis

As far as the Ohio lineup is concerned, it all starts with the number one player in the country. Everybody has her ranked at the top and rightfully so. Saniyah, heading to USC next season, is the most feared player in the Buckeye State for a reason. She’s got a really strong frame with the size to be able to take the ball to the rim, can also play any of the five positions which makes her a mismatch on the outside. She can knock down the three, great moves and footwork at the rim, good hang time and gets rid of the ball quickly from anywhere around the mid range. She is extremely smart with the ball and often it’s a women v girls situation when she’s on the court.

What can I say about the #1 nationally-ranked player in the state of Ohio and entire country? Hall is the complete package as a basketball player! She has the size and ball handling to match an electric shooting touch from deep. She plays under complete control despite playing at a very high level at Spire. Hall is a selfless teammate who also gets others involves when she sees there is a play to be made. She understandings that she is the engine that drives Spire Academy and delivers on the defensive end when she is asked to. From her size to her shooting touch, it’s all there for

It isn’t very often that you have the opportunity to watch the #1 player in the country and witness elite play every time she touches the ball! The way Saniyah reads situations, scores off the bounce, and creates a living nightmare mismatch for opponents is unreal – I don’t know what more to say other than, just wait till the next stop: USC! What a journey she’s been on so far!

Saniyah confirmed her status as the top recruit in her class, thrilling the crowd with at least seven step-back three-pointers that showcased her patience and precision. At the top of the key, she uses a slow, controlled dribble to manipulate defenders before pulling up for a shot, while also possessing the ability to attack the basket, making her exceptionally difficult to contain.

Hall is no stranger to Ohio! The USC commit has returned to the midwest after playing a year at Montverde Academy, and will play her senior year at SPIRE Academy. I’m not sure there’s enough adjectives to describe the 2026’s #1 recruit in the country. She’s a generational talent, capable of making a lasting impact on the game for years to come. Saniyah is a BUCKET. A ridiculous talent! Very efficient 3-level scoring today, including a very pretty step-back short jumper off one leg. Very deep bag on offense which included speedy transition and devastating plays off the bounce. Her defense was clicking on all cylinders, defending multiple positions, forcing turnovers near the perimeter and rejecting shots near the basket. Particularly strong all-around game.

Simply one of the greatest players my eyes have ever seen. Anytime I watch her, I cannot help but say to myself, “I am watching someone who has everything it takes to make it to the biggest stage in women’s basketball!”

Without question, Hall right now is the top 2026 in Ohio after displaying major D1 talent and a skillset that makes her the player everyone wants. She has slick handles, can drive and dish or hit the jumper. She is long and athletic, moves well and can push tempo. She was the Northeast District Player of the Year.

She has all of the tools as a great ball player she’s including exceptional length and an athletic build, to defend any position on the court. Runs the court well, has terrific footwork, and can shoot from anywhere. Hall is able to use her body in the paint to immediately affect the opposing offensive player, as she possesses a good mid-range shot and is offensively active enough to score at any time while also cutting through the defensive gaps. She will even pull out three-pointers out of her pocket!

There is nothing she can’t do. Not only can she score, her defense leads to many of her points with quick hands and score off of turnovers. After a slow start, she turned it on and really displayed her potential with a complete game. So athletic and when she feels like taking over a game, there is nothing you can really do about it. She is the best ’26 in Ohio.
