Division 4
1 Laconia
-The ride that Laconia has been on has been fun to follow. From kids not knowing what to expect as freshmen to start the year playing in a state title game to current defending state champions. I can’t bet against kids like Aubrey Leonard Aubrey Leonard 5'8" | PG Laconia | 2025 State WI , Payton Morgan Payton Morgan 5'10" | SG Laconia | 2025 State WI , Tierney Madigan Tierney Madigan 5'10" | SG Laconia | 2025 State WI , Molly Duel, and Eva Engel.
2 Racine Prairie
-The one program with a real chance to knock Laconia is this Prairie group. They have the high-end talent in JJ Glass-Barnes JJ Glass-Barnes 5'8" | CG The Prairie School | 2025 State WI that Laconia can’t match. The Hawks also boast excellent pieces like Reese Jaramillo Reese Jaramillo 5'9" | SG Prairie | 2024 State WI , Meg Decker Meg Decker 5'8" | CG The Prairie School | 2025 State WI , Amiyah Galica Amiyah Galica 5'9" | SG The Prairie School | 2026 State WI , and Ava Collier-White Ava Collier-White 5'4" | PG Prairie | 2024 State WI . In my eyes, the Spartan’s best five against the Hawks’s best five is a toss-up.
3 Cuba City
-Now that there is no Aquinas in the Cuban’s way anymore, even though I think they would’ve bested them this season, Cuba City is expected to be a state team. Olivia Olson Olivia Olson 5'8" | PG Cuba City | 2025 State WI is good enough to guide this group through any trouble, and kids like Ella Vosberg Ella Vosberg 5'10" | PF Cuba City | 2025 WI and Dea Crist Dea Crist 6'0" | C Cuba City | 2025 State WI have the talent to swing games.
4 Westfield
-The Pioneers made back-to-back state tournaments in 2021 and 2022. Carly Drew Carly Drew 5'8" | CG Westfield | 2024 State WI was a part of both teams and her backcourt mate, Haddie Showen Haddie Showen 5'9" | PG Westfield | 2025 State WI , was a member of the 2022 Sectional Championship. Westfield’s backcourt has experience playing in games in the second and third weekend of the postseason, so don’t count them out.
5 McDonell Central Catholic
-The jump from D5 to D4 wasn’t kind to Randolph last season, but McDonell has more talent in the backcourt. EllaMay and Emily Cooper Emily Cooper 5'7" | SG Mcdonnell Central Catholic | 2024 State WI will be dynamic and get this Mack team running. Aubrey Dorn is also a post-kid who gives the Macks a different dynamic.
6 Neillsville
– Paris Opelt Paris Opelt 5'11" | SG Neillsville | 2024 State WI is one of the most underrated kids in the state, and in her senior season, I expect her to play at her best in the postseason.
7 St. Mary Catholic
-Losing Choe Vogel stings, but when you have kids like Emily Vogel Emily Vogel 5'10" | CG St. Mary Catholic | 2025 State WI and Audrey Norville Audrey Norville 5'10" | SF St. Mary Catholic | 2024 State WI , that sting goes away. The Zephyrs will still be players in D4.
8 Sheboygan Lutheran
-Whenever Addy Verhagen Addy Verhagen 5'4" | PG Sheboygan Lutheran | 2025 State WI is on the floor, she can make magic happen. There are other prominent pieces, but they’ll go as far as Verhagen takes them.
9 Phillips
-Phillips hasn’t gotten over the hump in the past few seasons. The talent is there for them to make a deep run, so keep an eye on them this season.
10 Bonduel
-The Bears were one wild shot away from forcing overtime in a sectional final game a few years ago. Ella Hischke Ella Hischke 5'10" | PF Bonduel | 2024 State WI is still around and talented enough to lead the Bears to the second weekend of the postseason.
11 Colfax
-The Vikings made a surprise run to the Resch Center a year ago. At the heart of that run was McKenna Shipman McKenna Shipman 5'7" | SG Colfax | 2024 State WI , who’s back for her senior campaign.
12 Bangor
-Although Nora Tucker graduated, I believe Anna Fronk Anna Fronk 5'7" | PG Bangor | 2025 State WI can fill those shoes in her way.
13 Mineral Point
-The kids who won Mineral Point a state title are gone, but there are valuable pieces that’ll keep them competitive.
14 Random Lake
-Halle Van Horn is talented enough to give anyone in D4 fits.
15 Cambridge
– Brooke Stenklyft Brooke Stenklyft 5'11" | SF Cambridge | 2025 State WI has the physicality and skill to excel in the Capitol Conference.
16 Fall Creek
-The Crickets boasted one of the best youth teams of recent memory with kids like Jasmin Heuer Jasmin Heuer 5'10" | SF Fall Creek | 2026 State WI . I could be underrating them.
17 Osseo-Fairchild
-Osseo-Fairchild has routinely rolled out successful teams. I don’t see that stopping now.
18 Manitowoc Lutheran
-All the core pieces for the Lancers are back again for the 2023-24 season.
19 Darlington
-The duo of Kylie Butler Kylie Butler 5'7" | CG Argyle | 2026 State WI and Maddie Gratz Maddie Gratz 5'11" | PF Darlington | 2026 State WI are as good as most in D4. I could be underestimating how good they’ll be this season at No. 19.
20 Marshall
-There are still kids in the Cardinals program who are good enough to cause havoc to turn offense into defense.
21 Kenosha St. Joseph Catholic
-There’s some transfers coming to help the Lancers this season, and Frankie McLain could turn a corner this season.
22 Shoreland Lutheran
-Amanda Huesterberg is among the most underrated forwards in the state, and could help her Shoreland Lutheran team be competitive in the postseason.
23 Poynette
– Avalyn Albrecht Avalyn Albrecht 6'1" | PF Poynette | 2027 State WI coming in will give the Pumas a massibe boost.
24 Winnebago Lutheran Academy
-Oliviet Nazarene commit Lindsey Nell Lindsey Nell 5'11" | CG Winnebago Lutheran Academy | 2024 State WI will be one of the best wings in D4.
25 Racine Lutheran
-Racine Lutheran’s 1-3-1 will always give teams problems, and Julia Kellner Julia Kellner 6'3" | C Racine Lutheran | 2025 State WI is a talented 6-2 post.
