The sophomore guard transferred from Sunnyside to Chiawana after leading her team in scoring as a freshman. She steps into a great opportunity with a team that has a chance to play for a gold ball in March. She will join Marisela Contreras Marisela Contreras 5’5″ | CG Chiawana | 2025 State WA and Gianna Medelez Gianna Medelez 5’8″ | CG Chiawana | 2026 State WA in a backcourt that will get as much help as any when they look to the post with Malia Ruud Malia Ruud 6’2″ | PF Chiawana | 2025 State WA and Kaia Foster Kaia Foster 6’2″ | SF Chiawana | 2025 State WA as all state frontcourt players.
Maya transferred from Mountlake Terrace to possibly be a part of history in Garfield’s quest for four titles in as many years. She should step into an important role right away as a versatile player who can help in a lot of ways.
I saw Abby play in the top 250 two years ago. She put on a show with her ability to knock down shots from way beyond the arc. She steps into one of the most talented backcourts in the state at Lake Washington. Already a title contender, now with a lights out shooter added to the mix.
Highlights
Taylor left Sultan to join one of the best backcourts in class 2A at Archbishop Murphy. She stood out this summer as a solid combo guard when I watched her in Centralia. ABM has enough to make a push come post-season play and get ABM back to Yakima
Brynna is leaving for Elite Prep this year in Issaquah. She leaves behind a great career at Glacier Peak to ready herself for the college game.
Highlights
Also attending Elite Prep this year. She is one of the most sought after recruits in the state of Washington as a sophomore. She has offers from power 5 conference schools across the nation and should have her pick of landing spots in a few more years.
