is a recent pickup for Trotters ’25 Heifner, and she made up a huge impact in their win over the ATL Bucks on Saturday. She’s a complete player that is beginning to feel comfortable in their Heifner system. She finished with 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals in their huge win over the ATL Bucks.

Mullins truly was a do-it-all athlete! She scored 13 points in the first half. Keely has a beautiful floater and mid-range game! Mullins was able to drive and get to the rim numerous times throughout the game! She knows exactly when to stop and pop! She’s also a good defender! A solid all-around athlete! I love the duo with Mullins and

was excellent as well chipping in 14 points on 6-11 shooting. Livingston’s defense always gives them a chance to win…..and you have to think the way the playoffs slow down plays into Livingston’s advantage.

In a near upset of White County, Mullins was really good as Butler had to sit the third in foul trouble. Mullins and Mallie Gene both gave great minutes. Mullins only had 10, and struggled to shoot the ball, but still gave winning effort and winning level playmaking. I thought it was a great game for LA even in the loss.

Mullins is always an “x factor” for Livingston as far as being that secondary scorer they need. In Tuesday’s win over Clarkrange, Mullins finished with 12 points and 4 rebounds, and knocked down a 3. Livingston’s ability to provide secondary scoring will be pivotal….as their defense has been stingy all season. When Mullins is around 15 points, LA becomes a different team.

In a loss to White County on Monday, Mullins went off for 20 points…all coming in the first half. To me, this is an encouraging sign. Even in the loss, and on a night that

proved she can fill it up…now she just needs to do it for 4 quarters to give Livingston a better chance to beat the best teams.

I really like Mullins! She came out and was rattled a bit by Upperman’s full court pressure (heck….I was rattled too and I was on my couch…so I feel for you kid), but eventually settled into a nice groove. Once she stopped letting Upperman speed her up (that’s the secret kids–you pick your speed….not the D), then she began really leading the Livingston attack. I was impressed with how patient the club was, even though at times their patience eventually led to too many turnovers.
Mullins showed off her IQ to me by recognized how Upperman was guarding, and trying to exploit it. Upperman is high pressure, on the line, up the line….and it almost forces playmakers to “attack hips” and try to get to the rim (because there isn’t as much help as some teams give). I felt like Mullins made it a priority to attack the rim early and often. She’s sneaky athletic, and was able to get to her spots. The 6’0 guard is still getting better and better.
Also, made some really nice passes once she broke down the D that I didn’t know she had in her bag! Mullins had 7 second half points, and led Livingston with 12.
